I was told that the end date is being extended by one extra month when I called yesterday. I was also asked a lot of questions and offered a savings account (with 0.01% interest, no less). It took fifteen minutes to get past the first customer service assistant who was sure that as an existing customer, I could not even open another current account with them. Persevere.0

No 11 in all (No 6 with YB) was refused after being 'referred'. "You have too many" was the reason given.0

...trying to be cute too today by applying for account number 11...to my utter surprised I got refused too !
Guess folks 10 is the magic number lol0 -
Actually(I could be wrong) you don't have to wait for the paperwork. Assuming this is not your first switched account. According from the paperwork. It clearly said 'please retain the customer mandate-account detail. (The one with the new sort code and account number)
So if u have switched already. U should have got a spare copy of the custo!er mandate (the one u have to sign). But u might have to tipped/cross out the computer printed date.
So all u need now is get someone here too email you a spare switch pack pdf. Print it off. Fill it in.
And post it to them0 -
Turned out my switch wasn't successful due to debit card hasn't activated (oops) so they have now tried without the card and the switch date is 4march.
Hopefully my 4th and 5th switch pack come through soon.
What bank were you switching from and to? I have successfully switched donor account(s) without needing to activate the card(s)£47605.33 outstanding in C.C (£8000 Interest free till January 2025)0 -
It was post office. Took the £100 gift card and never activate(didn't know) my debit card.
I guess maybe its just post office debit card that require activation.(or maybe I haven't even set up online banking?!?!)
Saying that I'm gonna use my tsb debit card just incase it needed activation.0 -
