  • Hi Folks

Does anybody have a copy of the customer mandate form they could email me? I've opened 3 accounts but the mandate and switching docs have gone missing in the post.

I've got copies of the switching docs but not the mandate.

    Thanks

I haven't got any, but cannot see how they would help as they are populated with the acc number and sort code of the applicant.

  • Its just the bit you sign I need, which from memory doesn't have any details on it.

Even if it does I can edit it. Anybody else help?

After my account transfer being referred, I eventually spoke to someone today and my transfer has been accepted. I asked if the £150 incentive was being extended and the girl confirmed it's been extended to end of March. The £1000 pm can be paid in, then transferred out straight away, as long as the money goes in it meets the T & Cs. If you are going for the Current Account Direct, which pays 2% interest, I was told if you don't pay in £1000 each month the account is changed to an ordinary current account with no interest. Hth.

Turned out my switch wasn't successful due to debit card hasn't activated (oops) so they have now tried without the card and the switch date is 4march.

Hopefully my 4th and 5th switch pack come through soon.

^ and now you're quoting of it is breaking the layout!

I didn't realise you had to telephone to open an account. That's a lot of hassle.

Anyway, the lady told me today (the 24th) that they have a lead time of 5 days to call people back to go through the opening of the account.
She also said as I had started all this before the 28th, then I should still be eligible for the £150.

If they are extending it to the end of March on the same terms you wonder why they don’t just announce that and update the website – otherwise they are just going to be overloaded with calls until Saturday unnecessarily. The current terms also require you to have signed the forms by Saturday – which you won’t be able to do now if you apply today by phone as you probably won’t receive the forms by post to sign by then. So that needs tightening up anyway!

It does make me wonder why they haven’t just extended the date therefore e.g. are they changing the terms from 1 March to restrict it in some way to possibly new customers only.

You are correct re the current account direct – you just need to pay £1k a month to get the 2% interest (up to balances of £3k). If you don’t you get no interest that month – that is all. You will have to pay £1k in in one month to get the incentive – what happens after then is up to you but won’t affect your £150!

PS I passed their London branch today – which is interesting as it’s a dual YB/CB branch (the only one?) and has separate YB/CB counters and cash machines. If NAB own the freehold it must be worth a bomb as its right on Piccadilly Circus.

Yes weve all wondered whether the Ts and Cs might be changed after 28th, but having had probs getting my callbacks I asked that SPECIFIC question of the adviser and was told there would be NO changes ...... remains to be seen though obviously

I'm currently on hold in the queue to Clydesdale so its useful to have something to do typing this .....

How many of us know their 'music on hold' off by heart ...haha!!!!

Da....da da da da da da.....da........da.........

DAMN!!! Its just cut me off after 29 mins ' we are currently experiencing system problems'

I quoted so my reply didnt look out of context, but as 'colsten" subsequently deleted that post and a subsequent one, I do feel vindicated.
