Hi Folks
Does anybody have a copy of the customer mandate form they could email me? I've opened 3 accounts but the mandate and switching docs have gone missing in the post.
I've got copies of the switching docs but not the mandate.
Thanks0 -
Tippex?
I doubt the banks will accept tippexed forms.moneysaving_warrior wrote: »Hi Folks

I don't think repeating the Q 5 hours later will help, just ask the bank for duplicates.

That post makes no sense at all, I suggest you delete it so screens don't need widesceen, then I will delete this post.
.
I agree, and I did completely delete my offending post within seconds of noticing my gaffe.
Unfortunately I was not able to stop you from quoting my unfortunate post.
I'd therefore suggest you do as you said: "...you delete it so screens don't need widesceen, then I will delete this post. "
Thank you.
Apologies to everyone else.0 -

Why didn't I think of that?!0 -

derrick: There was no need to quote the whole of colsten's post - you should learn how to snip, just leaving sufficient to establish context.

... and would you now please delete your lengthy post from the foot of page 76 where it's still messing up the format of the page.[/STRIKE]
Long quote now deleted, thanks. :-)0 -

I think the mandate has your customer number on.0 -
Just tried to open another 2 but they wouldn't let me!
They asked for a reason but irrespective of my answer I was met with "well you've already got a couple your not using so why not use those {...} we need to know for money laundering regs {...} blah blah blah"
Anyone got a good excuse or just try later?
Called again and was told that as I wasn't using my existing accounts "properly" (no transfers, no direct debits) they wouldn't open any more.
I've only got 3 - I've no idea how people are getting double digits!Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -

Even if it does I can edit it. Anybody else help?
Page 1,(the one you have to sign), has your Customer Number, full name and address, DOB, and if given, email address, phone number, mobile number.
Page 2 has Customer Number ("for bank use only"),Account type, Account name, Product code, sort code and account number.
So quite a lot to tipex out, which I don't think the bank would accept.

I think it helps if you have a long term relationship with the bank - a certain poster on here who has opened 10 accounts or so has banked with them for 20 years. Or possibly having lots of savings as well. Not essential - but it helps!
I think they are just a bit unwilling to open more accounts for certain customers who transfer/switch £5 from another bank with no standing orders/direct debits, pay in £1k, take it all out the next day and make no more transactions until they get the £150. If you want more accounts I think it helps to keep the existing ones active and busy - so why not say use them for your shopping etc for a month or pay your credit card bill from them. Once you have all your £150s what you do after that is fine.0
