Hi Mozzy, yes they have. Both switched over with £1 and £5 respectively and after that I have sent a FP from my TSB account for £1000.

The fraud team at TSB inform me it is because the beneficiary (me) has not recieved any Faster Payments in before.

I'd have hated to have gone through all this effort with useless accounts and then to have messed up the Incentive part! Hahaha

    Ahhhhh right I see now.
  • I requested an appointment at my local Clydesdale branch at around 9:00pm last night. This morning at around 9:00am, I received an email with an appointment for this afternoon.

Opened the Current Account Plus (no minimum monthly deposit required) & requested to switch my old BoS Cardcash account (had it for about 12 years & it doesn't appear on my credit report anyway, so I have no use for it as I also have 2 other current accounts with BoS). I was a bit nervous with the credit check (as I've been trying to re-build my credit over the last year, but it was absolutely fine).

The whole process took about 45 minutes from entering the branch, to leaving. Switch date all scheduled for 3rd March.:j

    Quick question
I already have 1 account with YB which appears online. I set this up about 2 weeks ago.

I set up 3 accounts over the phone last Friday - I have the switch packs ready to go now.
Should the 3 new accounts be showing up in online banking?
As I'm only seeing the older (by one week) account.

Just making sure you know that in order to get the £150 cashback you need to deposit £1000 within 31 days after the switch. After that you can do what you want.

Apologies if you know this but wouldn't want you miss out.

Well got the call today about the applications on Wednesday and they were declined. I'm assuming this is most likely due to the amount of accounts i've opened in the last month alone, hence the amount of credit searches done. Now I know why people open accounts in advance rather than making a lot of accounts on the spot. To be fair though, most of the accounts were opened back in January and they weren't even for switching.

Oh wells. At least I got 1 account accepted.

Spoke too soon. Looks like the one that got rejected was the first one (the one that was a mistake). The other 2 got approved.

In your switch pack along with the 3 switch forms you will also get a customer mandate form with your new YB/CB account details (i.e. sort code/AC No) asking you to sign and date at the bottom. Its usually attached to the covering letter. You need those details for the 3 switch forms.

Until you return the signed customer mandate – with your switch forms – they won’t set up the new account in online banking. Once it is returned it should be set up online in a few days – with your debit card/PIN arriving a couple of days after. But obviously wait for the switch to happen – before paying in the £1k for the incentive (or topping up whatever comes in from your switch account to £1k).

Ahhh right got it. I have 3 mandate things to sign and a sheet with the 3 new account details on......

Hmmmm only have one set of switch forms!
And a tiny envelop to send it all back in...........arghhhhh
  • re your earlier post not sure you quite understood....

Its only one current account DIRECT you can have ... not just one current account.

In theory you can open multiple current accounts of other types e.g. current account plus -although see previous posts ....it is getting harder..!!

Many thanks for that, I didn't know, I had thought it was one per bank, so one Current Account Direct with Clydesdale and another with Yorkshire.

I will just tell whichever calls second that I no longer want another Direct Current Account and will instead ask them to open a Readycash Current Account as that still qualifies for the £150 bonus (I assume the person that calls will be able to do the Readycash Cur. Ac. despite me requesting the call for the Direct Cur. Ac.) - not sure if it can be operated online though as it doesn't say???

All of the accounts qualify and can be operated online, you decide the account when on the phone.

  • I would like to add for those going for multiple accounts...to leave a reasonable amount of money in previously opened ones.
Very suspicious opening more accounts when for example the previous ones have a couple of quid in...be sensible...make yourself look like good customers.
