An account opened for the sole purpose of switching. I've used my own banks in the hope there would be no credit check, I didn't want to abuse my own bank though so the rest I opened with natwest.0 -

Is there any particular bank that is better to use for opening them (online preferably)?Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

Previously I got through within a minute. I don't think its simply that applications have increased, wonder if their phone system recognises numbers that have called before and applied for the switch and keep putting those numbers to the back of the queue?!
Quoting my own post but...
Today I phoned in the morning and got through straight away!
He told me they have been told in the office that the offer is being extended for another month beyond the current 28th Feb date.
Does anyone know how many current accounts any particular banks/B.Soc. allow as a max? I know Nationwide is max 4 Flexaccounts. Yorkshire Bank is max hundreds I expect at the moment!0 -

I have no experience of YB or CB and as I am in Northern Ireland, we have no branches here of either bank, meaning my application(s!) will have to be done over the phone. I have several accounts I can switch from (all opened very, very recently
) so will do as many as I can (or have the nerve to do!) - but can I just ask a couple of things from those with experience of this (I promise I have read back through the thread):-
Thanks for taking the time to read
Saw you live in Northern Ireland – not sure if you were also aware of the £125 switching incentive First Trust Bank (the AIB subsidiary) are offering at present.

Its being discussed on this forum too.

Seems they are giving short shrift to applicants from England – but you should hopefully have more luck although you may need to visit a branch to provide ID (the clever wheeze they use to weed out those from across the water)!0 -
Considering I was happy with 2 switches...I am going to stop at 10...that's if I get there:beer:0
