Just tried to open another 2 but they wouldn't let me!
They asked for a reason but irrespective of my answer I was met with "well you've already got a couple your not using so why not use those {...} we need to know for money laundering regs {...} blah blah blah"
Anyone got a good excuse or just try later?Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -

I got this off one advisor, rang back the next day and used the same reason and the woman was completely fine and opened the account. Even asked if I had anymore to switch as there was no limit. Try again, my reason for both was work expenses.0 -

I think its a bit of a lottery who you get - but its always possible they are finally cracking down on the evident abuse of the incentive.
I would be a bit sceptical if someone rang up asking to open up account 5 (claiming they needed it) - and bar paying in the required £1k to get the incentive there were no transactions at all on the 4 they had already opened in the weeks since their switch!0 -

Couldn't agree more, that's the issue with opening donor accounts with a slight delay. For most people they'll struggle to keep the £1000 in there without having to move it out quickly. Regardless I think it's mostly down to the advisor and their mood.0 -

When I went for my 4th yesterday, I transferred three figure sums into my existing accounts, so if they glanced, they would see there was some activity. Moved it all back after the call. It at least gives some history then as you open more!"It would be easier to find a packet of sliced hippopotamus in suitcase sauce" - Basil Fawlty0 -

0800 028 3632. They're taking about 3/4 days now to post out the switch forms so you still have time to apply.0 -
As i have posted on another thread....and others have too..... i spoke yesterday to someone in their switching team and they confirmed the offer is being extended to end March.0

I wonder if the assistants are able to see any transactions on your account(s) when you call to open another, or do they just see how many you have?I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -
Has anyone on here actually received more than one £150 incentive?0
