You would no longer be a customer of theirs so highly unlikely you would still receive it? It is probably not asking too much for you to stick around until they pay the incentive, after all you are supposed to be switching to them for your banking needs ...

Referred means it goes to to the under-writers a team that decides if your reasons for opening the account are legitimate/they want to give you the account. My second account got referred, rang them back 2 days later they said it was fine. Oh's 3rd got referred, rang back fine, then the 4th got referred too. A bit annoying lol All ours are plus accounts. Still trying to understand this so just wondering if you have now opened 10 accounts, that means you have 10 current accounts already that you are switching?

Yes – you need ten current accounts with other banks or building societies (i.e. not CB or YB) to switch in to get 10 incentive payments of £150.

There are 175 plus current accounts available in the UK – so take your pick. But I would caution people if they are planning to apply for a loan/credit card/mortgage in the near future as lots of account openings means lots of credit searches which could temporarily affect your credit rating. And potentially the more you apply for in quick succession – the more likely you are to get turned down potentially for others – particularly if they are in the same banking group (e.g. RBS, Lloyds/HBOS etc).

Why rush to close it, keep it open for a donor account for the next switching offer
