Same 'problem' here, Nationwide, best to wait for the voucher.

Phoned M&S earlier and they said my voucher is being processed ( should have it within 2-3 weeks ) so I don't want to switch just yet....have a feeling this C/Y account will be closed soon as it seems massively popular....probs will miss out on this one.

As an aside to this does anyone know if you can have more than one Flexaccount with Nationwide or more than one Santander 123 ?

Nationwide allow quite a few current accounts - at one stage I had 5 FlexDirects, 1 FlexAccount and one FlexPlus. I think the official position is 4 FlexDirects (only one of which can earn 5%), plus at least on FA and one FP

Santander now allow one sole 123 and one joint one.

Very few banks limit the number of current accounts to 1.

Thanks...I will check with Nationwide and hopefully open one other Current acc to sit there to switch in the future...

Just wondering if anyone has ever had a switch refused because they are leaving a trail of opened and closed current accounts ( obs done for the switch bonus's ) ??

So, is this one incentive from Clydesdale, and one from Yorkshire, or are they the same company, and it's either or?

On the subject of Clydesdale/Yorkshire, has anyone got accounts with both as I've been told this isn't possible (i.e. if you're an existing Clydesdale (resp. Yorkshire) Bank customer, you can't open an account with Yorkshire (resp. Clydesdale) Bank (i.e. you have to have all accounts under one brand)?

On the subject of multiple Nationwide current accounts, has anyone been successful in recent times (i.e. this year) opening multiple current accounts online without having the application referred? I think they have changed their online application systems from the past as the system used to be instant account opening (as per Halifax, Lloyds, TSB systems etc.), but in recent times, online applications have only given an approved/referred decision, which then takes a couple of days to actually open the account. In my experience, in recent times the system approves the first 2 current accounts you apply for online and refers any further applications. For referred applications they then send a letter saying your account has been approved for you to sign and send back and then the account never actually gets opened.

Why wuold you want to have five FlexDirects if only one can earn interest for you?

...and, in my case, for around 10 months until January this year. :)

    Hi,

I applied on Thursday evening. ID check and application all approved. How long it takes for the application pack to come through?
