Yorkshire & Clydesdale Banks offering £150 for switching

I just want to say a big thank you to those regular posters whose advice has helped me with this switching offer.
YES! Absolutely. Me too.
I have today opened up another two RBS feeder accounts, and two more YB accounts. So am very grateful if it all works out. Should be OK for timing if YB do everything on time. I have one YB switch completing tomorrow. So, it will be a mere 3 YB, and I'll also have some separate dummy accounts for other switches.
So grateful to all the posters who have asked questions, and even more so to those who have answered them. Loving this, even though I feel like such a scaredy-cat.
Got a bit of a drilling by YB today (also had to give my National Insurance number, which shocked me a bit) about what I wanted them for and how much I would be saving in them (said I was saving for a new kitchen and wanted to keep money separate to help with budgeting, and also for a new garage roof. Felt a bit stupid, and a bit concerned that it was all being written down.
Thank you all.0 -
They actually said to me that I "just didn't quite meet the points score required for satisfactory electronic ID verification"....or their systems are stuck in the dark ages and they don't use modern means of identifying people. My money is on the latter, so I will keep on trying.
I do think there's something else in the 'score', a so-called 'policy rule', and that's residency (although I did have an answer for that...but it wouldn't wash with them!). Still, nothing lost as it's only an ID search. I admire your tenacity, but I won't be trying again.0 -
There's quite a bit of double entendre heading my way this evening!Jennifer_Jane wrote: »Got a bit of a drilling by YB today...0 -
My incentive landed today - no drama, so a bit boring. That's (just) one each for us - also boring. Sorry for the lack of intrigue!0

You could of course open multiple of the same type of accountYes
There are at least 189 different current accounts available in the UK – or 177 excluding YB/CBs variants - according to another website of which Sharon Osborne is apparently a fan!
So in theory you could do 177 switches – or more. Some are easier to open than others of course – and some are choosier than others – but there are loads of potential switching in accounts.
Opening additional TSB Classic accounts is the easiest process I've found. They ask for your employers address, account open the next morning.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0 -
They've been very quick for me too. I didn't (really) like doing it though. An incentive tart with a heart...that's me!thebritishbloke wrote: »Opening additional TSB Classic accounts is the easiest process I've found. They ask for your employers address, account open the next morning.0 -
Can you do the switch on their 24 hour customer service number?
Or does it have to be on the "switch" number?0 -
You're very late getting that...it's nearly 3 months since you started this thread.LeeBalders wrote: »My incentive landed today - no drama, so a bit boring. That's (just) one each for us - also boring. Sorry for the lack of intrigue!0 -

Quickest way by far is branch if you can get there.
Sorry I don't mean switch I just mean can I ring now and get the ball rolling on their 24 hour customer service number?
I did one in branch last week which went really well as the lass who dealt with me had connections to my workplace so we had a right old chinwag.
I just can't get to a branch this week so want to do a couple on the phone.0
