Were they Australian?
The National Australia bank will be mighty impressed by all their extra customers as they try to sell off YB and CB. The 'fastest growing banks in Britain in terms of current accounts opened with the happiest new customers' - I can see the marketing brochure now.:D
Nothing else really can explain the logic of any of this. Contrast this with one of the other switching incentive banks who to switch just one account required a poster on here to come into a branch following an online application and bring photo ID, proof of address, 3 months statements from their switch account and 3 months payslips!0 -
sorry potentially stupid question here but for those doing multiple accounts, are they still switching multiple accounts? i.e. are you ringing up and switching two different accounts in one call? Or are you switching one account but effectively opening an extra one as well and getting an additional incentive?0

You can't switch over the phone. But you can open two accounts in one phone call.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

thanks for the reply! So you open multiple accounts at one time, then use these for switching between YB/CB and/or others?0 -

You then switch an account you have elsewhere to YB or CB.
You then receive £150.
You then repeat the above (or do them all simultaneously as many here have).0 -

You can't switch from CB to YB and vice versa. You have to switch from a different bank, such as Natwest, Halifax etc.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

Thanks for the replies, I figured this was the case, I was just surprised when talking about 23 accounts and how exactly this would be possible! I'll stick with one of each so I don't get too greedy!0 -
Has anyone else been asked for three months bank statements from their existing bank? I made an appointment in branch, and they asked me to take that along. Minded to "forget".0

Ive read about them asking for that before.one poster on here said his wife was asked to provide statements for her switch account, explain where the funds were coming from and show in effect it was being used regularly. Over the phone I had none of that!0 -
So ive just gotten back from holiday to discover the big envelope that arrived this week contains no switching forms. It's Clydesdale if anyone has blank copies? The envelope was as bulky as the ones Oh got because they actually sent the t&cs with my one0
