Yorkshire & Clydesdale Banks offering £150 for switching

The 0800 number was being answered immediately this morning.
However the first agent balked at opening a couple of accounts for me, stunning me with the jaw-breaking statement that he did not see what the advantage would be to me in having more than one current account with the same bank.
I just said "OK, thanks", put the phone down, re-dialled and got another immediate answer, this time from a very friendly and obliging agent.
I wonder which agent will be credited with more new account sign ups today.0 -
Bit late arriving at the Yorkshire Bank party.
Applied today and got referred. Hoping I can get accepted and get stuff posted out to me soon so that I can return the switch agreement by the 28th...0 -
Whilst they (or at least YB) don't appear to have reworded the actual switching incentive T&Cs, the 'headline' on their site now says the incentive will be paid "within 31 days"...providing you fund on the switch date of course.0

Does it? I can't see anything different - you still need to credit the account with £1000 within 31 days following your switch date but nothing about the incentive being paid within 31 days...0 -

Either I'm going mad, or they were updating the webpage and someone messed up!
Apologies for any confusion.0 -
Called and was accepted for an account today, now need to wait for Welcome and Switch packs to come. Just realised that she never asked for a debit card number, just the account number and sort code. Is this usual?0

You'll need to enter the debit card number in the form the send you.
They ask for account number and sort code just to ensure it's eligible for the switch0 -

I wasn't asked for the a/c & sort code, I ended up asking if he wanted it!Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -

First thing they did, checked if a/c was eligible before they even took personal details.0 -
I've read the terms and conditions and can't see anything about cash accounts not being eligible for the switch incentive offer.
I mean is a cash account even classified as a current account?0
