My switch from Clydesdale to CoOp starts Monday, target date 17th February. Never held an account for so short a time, but don't think the Clydesdale direct account is worth keeping if I can get £100 from CoOp and £35.35 from TCB for sacrificing it.
PS Did you read my message to you at imutual?0 -

I wonder if anyone could help.
I'm trying to do my first switch but it seems impossible to get someone to speak to about opening an account over the phone. If I phone up they say all their advisors are busy and will call me back. I've phoned up 4x now and left my number each time over the last 2 weeks and have still not had a call back. How are you guys managing to get through to open multiple accounts? :huh:0 -

Try a free phone number like this.
I've used free numbers for all 3, 2 times I was just on hold for a bit but then got through. Nothing about call backs.Use one of the 0800 numbers instead of the expensive 0844 number, i.e. 0800 202122.
DD's not required, just £1000.00 per month for the interest to be implemented.I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -

I found the only way to guarantee being dealt with was to go into the branch. I went on the web site and "requested an appointment" weeks ago, heard nothing.
So last Thursday I just walked into the branch and got an appointment for the following day.0 -

Its hit and miss - so maybe it depends on the time of the day. I rang up and was disconnected as no advisors were available - rang 5 mins later and I got straight through.
Once I requested an online branch appt request and heard nothing - the next time they rang me the next day.
So its a bit random - but its a good offer and once you do open an account its fine. They also do quite a good rate on their 40 day notice ISA for those with large sums.0
