I had the same question regarding changing the account I wanted to switch and having seen my sons blank form I too thought there would be no problem..... but I phoned to check anyway and was told by the adviser that it MAY cause a problem ..... she went into the original notes taken when I phoned to open the account and edited to reflect the new account to be switched.....
Interested to hear if anyone has switched a different account and NOT had any problems0 -

Thanks for this. I have just rung them now and he said that they would switch the account that they receive back in the pack. Thanks again."It would be easier to find a packet of sliced hippopotamus in suitcase sauce" - Basil Fawlty0 -

Where are you going to switch to next?0 -
.....oh dear ...... it would be SO nice if we could rely on all the operatives having the same knowledge and giving the same advice.... mind you, if they did, I'd be a few hundred quid worse off given the compensation I've had for bad/wrong information given over the phone!! (Last one was about £60 when a TSB employee cancelled an appointment I had because I 'already had the maximum number of accounts...' (I had two single a/cs ...this was some months ago) We went in only last Friday Friday and opened the two ADDITIONAL joint accounts we were entitled to - which is what the original appointment was for.. (...but Ts and Cs changed last Saturday....)0

LOL, what a classic! Sounds like a career-enhancing move on the part of the TSB jobsworth.0 -
