    no,

As explained in an earlier post the sellers get a code that stars EcP that goes on the parcel. When the parcel arrives and gets scanned then Argos generate a new code for collection.

When I phoned Argos on behalf of one of my buyers they located the packet using the buyers name, scanned it and immediately generated an email with the collection code for the buyer.

    Thanks.
I phoned Argos, my apparent mistake was to copy the Paypal delivery address exactly as shown.
What I should have also done was to add the buyers name as the first line of address.
I thought my unique code would have been sufficient but it seems Argos does not process the order unless the buyer name appears.
They found the package and added the name so hopefully all will now go smoothly.
I have been so brainwashed to write the Paypal address verbatim.

Do sellers get a notification when the item is successfully collected?

no, but if you check your order details it shows in there.

That made sense at the time, but I have just seen some plants being offered with a click & collect option!

Maybe the scheme has been extended since then, and plants/bulbs etc are now included, perhaps the FAQ hasn't caught up?
