CY, sorry to hear about the frosty atmosphere at work, i hope things resolve themselves and everything settles back to how it was. you shoukld NOT have been shouted at all but especially not in front of the children the person who did it has probably realised and feeling too embarrassed to admit they were in the wrong. i hope you enjoy the family party and the change of scene tonight.

need to nip sains and get milk and stuff and trying to sort tomorrows shopping lists out to use as little time as poss but make the most of the vouchers i have. means visiting tesc0 morrys and coop as well as market stall, then into next town to pick up a missed parcel

Aww honey you didn't go too far, I had a chuckle at it tbh. I just meant you've sounded a bit down. I'm sorry Mrs Dog isn't doing too well, poor little poochie.

Thank you all for hugs - much appreciated.

Dusty, take it easy this weekend, please.
(((Hugs))) Lame Wolf. I hope your sore throat gets better soon.
CY, I hope the winds blow away the clouds over your workplace by Monday. Have a lovely weekend away.
Honey Bear, I'm sorry to hear that Mrs Dog is causing you such concern. (((Hugs))) to you and a gentle stroke to her.
Little Miss Moo sounds just like my DGD1 when she's being assertive! :rotfl: now, though I know you didn't think it was funny at the time, bossy.

Katiecat, I'm very sorry you are going through this stressful time. Might I gently suggest that you make sure that your OH does not take any cheque books/ bank cards / correspondence to which he is not entitled, and that you still have your own birth certificate, exam results and any other important paperwork? Sometimes it's too easy for someone to simply empty a drawer into a black bag, and that would be an extra hassle that you wouldn't want. (I was lucky that my Ex and I always kept our things separately, but he still took our marriage certificate and I had to pay out for a copy for myself.)

After doing the bits of shopping and cooking a late lunch I have slept the afternoon away again - mental exhaustion rather than physical, I suppose. Fortunately the chicken has cooked itself succulently in the SC, so finishing tonight's meal will be easy. While the veg are steaming, I shall make cakes and lasagne for tomorrow, and finally use up the last bits of last week's enormous cauliflower.

Thank you, Bossy. I've deleted it anyway, because it might cause offence and it was a bit .... I hope Miss Moo is feeling a bit brighter and that you've both dried out. I've had a few weeks of doing rather a lot, much more than usual, and I think the whole lot has caught up with me a bit. I need to get things back into a calm place in my head, the better to deal with the challenges. I'm going to administer more Miranda and self-medicate with chocolate over the weekend, I think.
    Better is good enough.

Got a couple of jobs done before I went out this morning. While tea was cooking I've stuck my work uniform in the washer, got rid of some clutter off the coffee table and washed the dishes.

    Hugs where needed.

    oh my

sending reception children into school in fancy dress - one of which HAD TO BE REMOVED FOR TOILETTING  and vests worn underneath seemed fine in the morning - then, as they all warmed up we were removing bits of costume from hot children.

You will understand, I hope, that I decided getting changed for PEwas a step too far.

And I have just checked my work emails account (I'm waiting for an email from my neice) to find I am booked on a course about child sexual exploitation. UGH - mind you *Pollyanna mode* it's in Buxton - be even better if it's a 'lunch is included' one.

Valli- I sent ds1 in with spare clothes in his book bag as I knew he would be too itchy or too hat or too cold. I picked him up and he was in his jeans. Didn't even make it to,playtime! LoL!

It's been a bitty day. Feel like I have done a quite a bit but House is not looking how I would like it to!
Cleaning the o ven took longer than I thought, but it does look beautiful now! We had pasta for tea so I didn't need to use the oven!
I even took the glass out of the door. Normally I scrub it for ages and it still looks grotty but I put it int he bag With the racks and it came out beautifully!

I sorted out the pressies for the weekend but this also took longer than I hoped because i couldn't find the cards... Or the wrapping paper..... Or the tags! Got there in the end.

Also did 2 x wm, unloaded and loaded dw, stripped the beds, dusted, hoovered, hoovered the bathrooms, emptied the Hoover!, dusted and hoovered kids bedrooms, wiped down the sides in the kitchen.

not done a lot of Friday's list but will have to wait until next week. Have a good weekend everyone!

CY - hope you've made it up. Maybe send her a note so she can read it in her own space.

(((Hugs))) to all of you and anyone else feeling in need of one

Bossy - my list is long because I am fed up with all the bits of jobs lying about. These seem to get pushed to the back every week whilst I get on with more urgent stuff like work, shopping, cooking and dailies.

I have put them all down so that each week I can try to clear a bit of it and feel I am actually achieving something :D Bit annoyed though because I cannot order anything which needs delivering because our door access buttons aren't working so I wouldn't know the delivery was there :( I've reported it but apparently they have a contract which allows them 30 working days to get a fault fixed

    My list (no particular order)
    Car insurance
    Contact PPL for DH
    Go to Dunh*lm for duvet

    Buy some new towels
    Order another suitcase

    Buy fish knives and forks
    Do prompt cards for Spanish

    Sort recycling
    Put out recycling
    Research a new printer
    Check c/c statements
    Menu plan for week
    Shopping list
    Order fresh turkey
Buy card, pressie and wrap for S/DD
    Sort hotspot settee table
    Sort photos
    Save photos to portable hd
    Find some new recipes
    Give SR rugs another clean
    Ring hairdresser
    Sort out desk drawer
    Clear out desk cupboard
    Polish desk
    Polish DR table
    Polish SR bookcase
    Polish SR side cabinet
Clear out drawer SR side cabinet

    November
    1. Finish sorting Room of Doom. One box left and some filing. Then give the whole room a sort out and deep clean.

    2. Sort my wardrobe.
    3. Get down all stuff from top of wardrobes - sort and only put back what I really need to keep.

Hope you all have a splendid Saturday
