Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
I'm off to bed. I'm hoping to clear the rest of my to do list tomorrow and make a concerted effort to clean the house but my first priority is to call @v0n at 8am when they open and add a couple of items to my order which I have just submitted. For the first time since I started in Feb 2011 I managed to miss 1 order form because it had been knocked off the pile and on to the sofa then a folder landed on top of it which must have happened when DD decided to throw her order & books over to me :wall: I've just found it as I was putting all the paperwork away. I knew there was something wrong with the order but I couldn't put my finger on it. :(

Well there is nothing I can do until tomorrow so I need to go to bed and get some sleep. Catch you all tomorrow

    can't sleep.

Need 'superhero' costume for today so have got up, found a pinny, pinned together dusters and shall also use my MF dusting glove (fortunately just washed!) and be SUPERCLEANER!

One of my colleague has laid out £40 for a costume, another's gone to hire one.

I commented that it would be better to send the money to C-I-N rather than lining the pockets of businesses.

Heck - I'd pay NOT to wear a costume at all. Fancy dress does NOT sit well with me (or the Vallikids, come to that)

    Hoping daughter is ok Piggers.

    Morning Valli

I can't sleep either. I hate dressing up and my kids don't like it either.

    DW emptied.

Piggers I hope DD is with babe in arms now.

    Good morning.

Just a quick swish yesterday as I was out all day. Helped out with a tombola the A&E staff were doing to raise money for the NSPCC. DGS2 was having minor surgery but didn't go down till late afternoon. Then my shift in A&E. Usually it's shopping day with DD on a Thursday. So that's now Saturday. At voluntary job today so will catch up a bit tomorrow.

Dailies to do before I go out.
    Cat stuff to do.

Pigpen Thinking of you and DD1.

    Hugs where needed.

I agree entirely. Quite apart from lining its own pocket, the costume hire business has knocked all the creativity and imagination out of fancy dress. Think what we used to achieve with a teatowel and dressing gown - nativity shepherds wouldn't be seen dead in that nowadays!

I was up at 4.30 am making a cup of tea, putting dried fruit to soak for tea loaves and preparing chicken for the SC for tonight's meal. I also found a present to go on DH's wish list ( a book on Indian railways). I have already achieved about twice as much today as I did yesterday :o

    My list for today:
    - shower
    - dailies
    - write and post thank-you note for a gift from last week's visitors
    - take my friend to clinic
    - take her out for coffee afterwards at our favourite garden centre if she's up to it
    - odd bits of food shopping
    - cook large and small lasagne
    - make tea loaves
    - find phone number for family in Germany
    - tidy and dust downstairs
    - tidy the study-bedroom
    - paperwork, if I can stay awake

Hope your DGC arrives safely today, pigpen.
LW, I meant to say earlier how pleased I am that your injection is working. The effects do wear off in time, so it might be worth staggering the injections in alternate hands, if you can, so that you've always got one good one, IYSWIM.

(((Hugs))) and GWS vibes to anyone feeling under this awful weather. I shall be out all morning so please help yourselves to spoons as required x

I might grab one of your sticks, though, Dusty..... thanks.

    Morning!

    Wow that's quite a list lynnejk x
Agree with all the dressing up comments. Money better spent elsewhere.
Stunted sleep here thanks to DD. She's taken to shouting me in the night since I put the baby gate back up "mummy I'm scared" grrr.

So the coffee pot is on - help yourselves - although I think the kids have scoffed the pile of toast already...

Need to pick up DD prescription before gymnastics but I might delay the other shopping (home bargains) until Monday so I can go alone...
