Morning all, really into this now, got loads done this week. Mini disaster today Master bedroom, decided to clean chandelier type light fitting, knocked one of the bulbs and it went pop, it has come away from the screw in bit that attaches to the chandelier, goodness knows how I will get it out, whole light fitting not working now grrrrrr.
I've heard of Ionafan's tip about the potato thing, but it has always concerned me, so I've googled the subject and came up with this blogpost:
http://www.home-ec101.com/how-to-remove-a-broken-light-bulb/
To be honest, I'd call an electrician and consider the money well spent. If you can do without the chandelier and just use lamps, that might be the best temporary solution.
I don't know why, but I'm absolutely exhausted. I thought I was okay yesterday morning, but after one incoming phone call I knew I was in for an soul-sapping visit from an Energy Vampire and I've been dragging myself around ever since. I'm taking it easy today because this never passes if I work through it. Later on I'll have to do 30 minutes in the Room of Doom because I skipped it yesterday, and I am getting somewhere in there.Better is good enough.0 -

Paid stuff done.
WM on a second spin to see if I can get the towels any drier.
Just having lunch then it will be town or flying, oh and need to see where cricket is tonight, I have been there before but not in the dark and it is in the middle of nowhere. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Dusty thanks for the Knitted Knockers URL. I've bookmarked it, and if the combination of cortisone injections and physiotherapy gets my paws back to useable, I'll have a go.
I did a sort of test the other evening - I needed to zest some limes, and tried it both left and right handed. I had the cortisone only in my left hand, as we need to see that it's actually going to help. Anyways, right-handed made me positively yelp with pain; left-handed, although it wasn't comfortable, it was do-able.:T Progress!:D
Towels and hankies washed, and currently drying indoors, as the weather's decidedly meh.
BM is on, so that I can put it out of the way and put the table-leaf down to make way for Jessie's bed this evening. She's due to arrive at 19:00, and will have her supper when she gets here.
Easy dins for us - sausage-inna-bun - because Mr LW's pal will be here at 20:00.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi - great news about your left paw LW - hope it's not too long before the other can be done.
Bossy - address please - I'll be round to share your meal later!! Sounds yummeee.
Had a manic morning in c shop - so busy - only got back at 1:40 so really tired! Trying to get up the energy to do the list I posted earlier!!
Catch up later.July 16 £95/£200

Not making much progress today
- Printer is still not printing red, so I have spent some time searching online for a solution and ordered a printer head cleaning kit.
- Sorted a few papers and found some missing notes.
- Made lunch
Just want to go to sleep really. Honey Bear, are you sure you didn't pack your Energy Vampire off in my direction? :rotfl:
However, on a brighter note, DH has found not only his railway watch (which I will get restored for his birthday or Christmas present) but also another modern pocket watch to use in the meantime. And his man cave is almost tidy. And he has gone off to town with 2 crates of model railway wagons to sell0 -
I have sorted DDs paper mountain! We've recycled lots that has been drawn on, kept a couple of masterpieces and generally tidied the magazine box. She can keep it in the LR, she's always got a pen and paper to hand and this way I can encourage her not to leave them lying around.
Also put some washing away and starting closing the blinds  getting dark here already. Is raining so I've put the raincover on the buggy, DD has decided she can't walk today. I figure one of us may as well stay dry!
No more paid stuff yet, but will do tonight once the tiddlers are in bed.
HM potato wedges in oven for small people. They can have omelette and beans if they don't want my lovely dish, I'll save you some jttou
Feels I've been quite productive too, today.
Might put some bits on local FB selling page later. We have a tiny wooden dolls house and farm that no-one plays with. Even a few quid would be worth the extra bit of space. Seems a bit of a waste but they just sit on the shelf...
Almost school run time. Ugh. Will take hats and gloves I think, it's grim out there!Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
So much for my HHC day. I managed 2. BD has settled in and I tried to shoo it away with a quick visit to my parents but that made it worse.
Dailies done
Work tops cleaned0 -
I think flying is going to have to take a back seat for this week. I have been trying to get reports written and sent off by tomorrow for work. I still have 1 entire report to do and 2 to finish off. One of these reports was supposed to have been done by someone else, but I have had to almost entirely rewrite it
It doesn't help that the grotty kids have given me a cold.
Time for a quick coffee break.£1000 Emergency Fund #175 - £598/£1000
