Has any one noticed how the experian payment history online has changed?Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0

There are various agencies in UK through which you can get your credit score because when you want your credit card then your credit score must be good.0

Get a Capital One card and you'll get 2 free credit reports per year and an Equifax account. For Experian take the free trial but remember to cancel before the end of the trial period.
They've changed this now, it's only the world mastercard that get's the equifax account. This only applies to new accounts, existing accounts will continue to have it.
From the capital one website..Capital One World MasterCard® customers, and any Capital One customers who opened their account before July 2011 benefit from our free Identity Alert Service, powered by Equifax.
(won't let me post URLs, but I'm sure you get it)
Shame really, as I only got my cap one card a week or so ago.0 -
is this website creditexpert.co.uk (but isn't it takes like hours to fill everything in?) the best to check your credit history?
I am just looking for not expensive and easy service to double check that my credit history is ok, can you advise something?0 -

There is no 1 site which is the best to check your credit history. Creditexpert will show you what your experian credit history looks like, and will show you what a potential lender would see if they happen to search experian for credit applications.
But if they search equifax or callcredit/noddle then just looking at your experian file won't show you what they will see.
Ideally if you applying for credit its a good idea to get copies of all 3 agencies files - as they can differ significantly.
You can order them for £2 each from each agency. Or noddle gives you free access to your file with them. For experian and equifax you can sign up for free trials (which are only free if you haven't used them before and cancel them within a month).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
easiest way would be login to credit card website and check for reports, if not call up the credit card call centre and subscribe for reports0

I know a bit about noddle. Are there any down sides to it? Selling off your details, marketing calls, unrequested credit checks etc???0

I've always used score report on equifax. I check my credit every three months or so and it's only $20. I've tried looking into free reports but it seems to be more difficult to get in Canada.0

Please Every one!
DO NOT Go through Equifax for a detailed credit file! I've been paying them monthly to find that most creditors deal with experian exclusively - Equifax are second then there is Call credit who only deal with a few companies.
Mind you, I did have an account with experian and I now have to ring them to retrieve my details after answering my secret question and giving bank account details - dear me!!
£2 credit Report in the post is the way to go - the credit rating they give is only 'their' credit rating anyway - they're probably paid to give you a higher rating by companies so you apply - Your details go on a database if you don't check the box, and how many times have you been told to fill more info in because it helps your application????
It's all bollox - pay to work your way out of bad debt, don't pay to watch your credit file on a regular basis unless you suspect something wrong!0 -
Hi! New here so sorry if this is in the wrong place...
Does anyone have any recent experience of CheckMyFile.com (i've read a few comments regarding concerns about the accuracy of the information they supply)
I ask because I got one report through Experian which was fine, but when I tried to get a report through Equifax I couldn't complete the on-line process. I called them, was queuing for over 20 mins, then got through to someone who I struggled to understand (and he struggled to understand me) as English wasn't his first language.
Frustrated, I terminated the conversation and decided to go through CheckMyFile.
Incidentially, according to CheckMyFile, it all looks fine but i'm concerned I can't trust it. Any thoughts, views, experiences would be helpful. Thanks!ObiWanFan0
