who do i need to contact to put a marker on a record on my file?
What marker do you want to put on your file?
If you mean a notice of correction you need to contact whichever of the 3 credit reference agencies you want to show the notice of correction.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Thanks so much for that, I registered & got mine. Does it cost anything to verify identity? I never noticed0 -

Does anyone have a contact number for Credit Expert? I have tried calling the number on the website, but I am calling from abroad and it just keeps saying that it can't connect.
I asked, via email (following on from an email discussion with them), for them to cancel my membership back in May and refund my money as they are unable to provide me with the service, but they haven't done that and have continued to charge me!!!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Found this number on another thread, from Fermi, which worked: 0800 561 0083
Trying to get it sorted now. They are trying to avoid refunding, but I am standing my ground.
ETA: Success! Whilst they stated that the need to call is detailed on the website, they also acknolwedged that they didn't respond to my email in April, and I haven't been able to access the service, so they offered a refund of 2 months of premiums (I only paid 4, so it's 50%). I have accepted this as I think it's reasonably fair, and is better than arguing for weeks over 30 quid.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Hiya
Just checked my report with experian and a default I had with a bank from 2009 which I'd been repaying each month has now been sold to debt recovery firm. The default is now listed twice under original bank and now under debt recovery firm?
Is this correct? Are they able to list it twice even of this one default? I was under impression could only be listed once as it has now added an extra default which to me is already shown.
Many thanks
I should add that the 2nd default does show the original default date and payments are still being made to repay.0 -
In 2009 many borrowers in India were surprised to find that their loan applications had been rejected by the lending institutions citing bad credit history. The lending institutions in turn get a copy of borrowers' credit report from the Credit Information Bureau India Limited and determine whether they should lend money to borrowers based on this report.
Though the concept of credit reports is largely understood by Indian borrowers very few bother to get a copy of their own credit report.
Here's how you can get a copy of your own credit report if you are curious to know about your credit score/credit rating in India and save yourself the embarrassment of your loan being rejected in the New Year.0 -
You can obtain your credit report with credit score at Freecreditreport.com.0
