I ordered Equifax's instant online report out of curiosity and after entering my information and credit card information it has asked me to call them. Since I signed up at midnight for an instant service, I am not too happy. Especially since the number isn't free to call or even normal calling rate.

My partner recently ordered and received his credit report through equifax (the £2 paper report) but we have no idea what it means, and how to tell if he has a good credit score. Is there any sites explaining what it means/a breakdown of it? Sorry if this sounds stupid but neither of us have ever seen a credit report before!

They should send a booklet with it Chez - or if he ordered online there is an online guide which is worth a read through if you've not seen one before. I'd start by looking through that and seeing what you understand. Then if you've got specific queries people on here should be able to help.

    Hello

My brother is looking into his credit rating and reclaiming some PPI so he recently purchased his Statutory report on Equifax. Sadly, it didn't give as much information as he thought it would and 'upgraded' the account to the full report for £5.95

However, this raised a few issues. It shows his credit rating, etc and the last two addresses he lived at but it doesn't show sufficient information regarding his previous cards, loans, mortgages etc. It's left out about 4 addresses (whilst he was gong in through a divorce) and about 15 years of history. Is he expecting too much or is there a way to get this information from Equifax and add it on?

    Much obliged.

Credit reports will only generally show the last 6 years, so it wouldn't show 15 years of history, if there are specific errors otherwise you'd need to speak to Equifax.
Note not all companies use Equifax some may use only Experian & Call Credit, so it may be missing cards (within the 6 years period) are sitting on his report with Experian.

I just had the same problem. I think I may have answered one of the 'security' questions wrong. But there's no way I'm going to call them on 5+p/minute, so hopefully they won't start spamming me with emails to call them.

    Anybody else have this issue?

    Thanks.

Just signed up with Equifax for the 'free' credit report and entered my credit card details but when I went to log in to see the free report it wouldn't let me use the newly created login details and then after answering security questions it came up with a user ID from a couple of years ago I had forgotten about (different email address!) and that old account doesn't have my free credit report... so bit annoyed as I can't view the report and I can't log in on the new account which has my credit card details against it!

The site deliberately makes it difficult to cancel too so will have to phone them tomorrow to see what is going on with the 2 accounts.. will probably just cancel without bothering to try and access the credit report now.
  • I have tried to obtain my credit report but i can't as i dont have a credit card to register with. Is there any other way of obtaining my credit report? Thanks in advance
