Often just sending the paper form is sufficent. Particularly if the credit ref agency has you on the electoral roll at the address you request the credit report is sent to.
Occasionally they will still need to ask for further data after the postal request is sent.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Thanks.
It's more safer for the credit agency to send a letter to the request address as they would already know the address, rather than any one with Internet access.
First time I've heard that the old paper/post method is easier. If they don't need to ask more questions that is, which is also less likely this way (hopefully).0 -
Just checked my credit report with equifax. I'd already registered but with my old address.
Nothing seems updated, it doesn't show any credit cards or anything the newest thing it shows is my mobile contract that was started 2 years ago.
It seems as though it's deliberatly awkward to navigate around the site. It looks like a few ten year olds have designed it. All probably so you'll ring the 0844 number which I have no intention of doing. I need to update lots of things but ringing seems the only option, I keep getting redirected to the annoying ask a question page. It seems so amatur.0 -
If you update your file with your current address it will link the 2 addresses and you should then see you more recent credit accounts.
Of course not everything will necessarily show on equifax, some of your newer creditors might report to experian instead, or even callcredit.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

just seen that on natwest website and it says
" CIFAS registration – your details are registered with CIFAS (the UK’s fraud prevention service). Member companies carry out extra checks if your details are used on a credit application "
does that mean any application I make after registering for that service will refer to fraud department and I will never get an instant decision?0 -
does anyone know how to add previous addresses to an equifax account?
Also each time I try to order a £2 account it takes me seems to go through, take me to the log on page but has no record of my user name etc except for my old account.0 -
I have read somewhere in this forum a while ago that we could get call Credit for free. I have tried to find but no luck solar.
Could someone please shed the light such as link to this forum, other forum, or any other sources
