You can send apply by post and send a £2 postal order - here is link for the equifax form, and the others will have the same - http://www.equifax.co.uk/Products/credit/your_equifax_credit_file_0310.pdfA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
don't worry Freddie, Equifax are just being very cunning, if you scroll down through this page
https://www.econsumer.equifax.co.uk/consumer/uk/sitepage.ehtml?forward=gb_elearning_credit14
you'll see a section called By Post: That's the way to get a paper copy of your report for £2
Tondella!
Thnaks for this good link0 -
Whatever you do, don't ask Equifax to let you know what's on your credit report and what isn't. I just had a 10mins argument with them over the phone as they told me that the alert they sent me to tell me my credit agreement with my back had been removed was correct, and the fact the bank said it hadn't been (and that I was using that card consistently over the last two months, including earlier today!) was incorrect.
Then they told me to discuss it further I had to buy a credit report, which they told me would tell me the same thing as the alert.
It's just a con - alerting you to incorrect changes on your report in order to get you to buy a report which is wrong (as both the bank and I pointed out).
Stay away from them if you want any accurate information.0 -
Does anyone know if with Experian (and others too probably) when an account is closed and shown as settled, is the Credit Limit figure on that account counted as available credit?
I would have thought that since the account was closed, there would be no available credit for that account therefore it would not be counted and maybe shown as zero, however on mine it still shows the full credit limits for each closed account.
Interseting question here,
I had 2 credit cards which I used and then paid off, I then asked for a copy of my CR. The intial one shown the 2 cards with the available balances, so I closed both cards and the following time which was approx 8 mths later I requested the information and they had gone!
Now I was under the impression that accounts remained on your CR for a period of 5 years!!!!If I have been helpful - Hit the Thanks button0 -

Thank you for sharing this to us
Actually, the feeling-relieving form is an explosion of feelings not a criticism. Some of the parents can’t bare the mistakes made by their children and they are likely to explode their feeling to the kids for no reason. We can compare the bad mood of the parents to a balloon; from being flat to full, and at last the leaking air explode to their kids0 -
Has anyone any tips for correcting errors with Experian. We just seem to be banging our heads against a wall of uncaring incompetence at the moment.
We thought we had fixed it 6 months ago, but it's come to light again... so obviously they aren't putting their records straight.
Any help or pointers would be much appreciated.0
