How to obtain credit reports

You could only cancel it using telephone, not online.
It has been reported sometimes you simply can not get in.
If you fail to do it within a month it will cost you a fortune.
Why they could provide online subscription but not online cancelation.
THIS IS RAISE AN EYEBROW .....
Is it possible to raise compainT to Financial Ombudsman about this ??.

Hello
I wondered if anyone could help?
I applied for a credit report through Call Credit about 2 weeks ago online, over the last week I can log into my account but when I try to access my credit report I get a message saying something along the lines of: "we were unable to verify your details, we have sent a letter to your address so that you can provide us with more information". A week on and I still haven't recieved this letter. I've emailed them and am yet to get a response.
I'm a bit puzzled, as I obtained my Experian report about 2 years ago online, without any problems, my Equifax report a week ago, again online and again without any problems.......anyone else experienced this? What could be the problem?0 -
All Americans are entitled to free credit reports every year from each of the three major credit bureaus. The credit reports used to cost as much as $9.50 ...0

credit reports can be easily obtained by asking from the bank...elsewhere you can easily get them online too. contacts are very much important and if it is then you can easily ask the bank to offer you your credit report and then you will get to know about the details and every single thing0

Dear bobkerry
I know that the bank have your Credit Report as they will do credit check before they approve your application for credit card, current a/c/, loan etc.
But when you ask them to copy it to you their answer is always the same: "You could get your statury repport by wiriting to CRA and pay £2.00".
As you mention that we could get it fromthe bank, please tell me your secret, how to do this ??

I am aware that you could get free trial for a month and then cancel it. But you need to put your credit card detail (or the like).
To cancel it you need to call them, sometimes you need to wait for ages to get through. I have read a few times about this occasion in this forum.
If you fail becasue you do not want to spend times waiting to get through in the phone queu or you forget to cancel it, you pay each month. Also you could only cancel it once. They save your data so they will recognise when you try to do it the second time.
Is there any other ways to see your record online without the need to pay ???
ADINDASHave you seen the rest of his posts?
"hey you can easily get the information from internet... "
Maybe that's how :rotfl:0 -

If you can get a Capital one card, you can register it with Equifax for a C1 specific programme, that gives you two free (£0) Equifax credit reports each year, and free weekly alerts detailing the changes.
I saw you're a fan of an US-style "one free annual report", but they may pay much more if they want to see it more often.
I seem to remember that if you can get your reports free as well if you are (were? suspect to be?) a victim of identity fraud, but can't find the reference.
I've grown to hate experian's system in many ways - it's very difficult to see pricing up front before committing to the service, and I despise their "pin letter" for the statutory online access.Enjoy the silence...0 -
I was always told by my family it looked bad to run your check your credit too much is that true?0

So I signed up with both Experian & Equifax, however when I log in to Equifax it's saying I have 'No active current products' so it looks like they haven't started my free trial (despite this being what I signed up for in the first place  ). I assume this means I have nothing to cancel.....
FWIW I had no problems with Experian & was able to cancel without fuss.
If Equifax are deliberately making it difficult to cancel this should be mentioned in the guideGive a man a fish, and you'll feed him for a day.
But give a man a fishing rod, and he'll sell it and buy alcohol.0
