- How to do cancel it once you have a free trail online ?.
I now I could have a statutory report for £2 but I do not want to pay a penny to this companies, as I do not like the concept...0 -
Hi,
I have recently signed up to Experian Credit Expert's free 30 day trial, picking up cash back via Quidco in the process.
Once logged in however I am faced with the option to purchase "my credit score" for £5.95, I want to check my history am I supposed to use this?
I have looked on the "my report" section but it only shows my address. I thought it would show my history and much more detail that I could check.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks0 -

Pay the £2.
You will spend a lot more trying to cancel on their expensive phone lines, or paying the monthly fee when you haven't been able to get through.
Honestly do yourself a favour and pay the £2.0 -

No, don't pay for this.
This is a number provided by the CRA and does not relate to any scoring method used by nay lender.
It's a waste of money and a cash cow for them.

Thanks lisyloo, how should I check my credit history then?
Is there anything worth looking at on Experian? Doesn't Martin recommend it?

Can anyone advise, who do Barclaycard use to record account activity. I have two Barclaycards. Mercers threatened a default in March and I was wanting to see whether it was on file. Checked with Experian and Equifax and no mention of me even having a Barclaycard.
I know that there is a third credit reference agency but I don’t want to sign up to another free trial – assuming that they do one. Looking at previous posts in this thread, it seems that cancelling my free trial subscriptions is going to be hard enough anyhow.
Cheers

The first thing you have to do in obtaining your credit report is you need to gather your personal information and be prepared to enter the computer or present it over the phone to request a report.Make sure that your Social Security number, prior addresses, employers and salary information is accurate and up to date.

Not sure is this is a reply to my post above but I am fairly sure that both Experian and Equifax have got the right person (me) as all my other cards (and whatever) are listed together with all my misdemeanours.
I'm just puzzled as to why Barclaycard are not included - Experian had 20 creditors, equifax had 15.
Thanks

Is there anything worth looking at on Experian?
1) Is it possible you have no credit accounts? In this case I would still expect to see sections like "electoral role", "Previous searches", "court information" etc. even if they are empty.
2) You haven't been correctly identified by your address. Do you live in a flat? Does it have an a or a b after the number? Is this possible?
3) You aren't using the interface correctly. This isn't meant to be insulting and I'm not overly familiar with the Experian interface. On my Equifax screen the report is split into sections e.g. "credit accounts", "previous searches" etc. You have to click on the section on the LHS to get to the information for that section of the report.
I suspect this isn't the case, but it's possible you are only seeing the top level information with your address.
If you are on the trial then I you should have access to them by phone, so call them up. The most likely explanation is 2), that your info has not been pulled out because there is some peculiarity with the address.
You should be seeing info on electoral role, financial associations, court information, credit accounts etc.
