I'm hoping I've posted this in the right place :o, if not please feel free to move it

I want to have a look at my statutory credit report (more for a nosy than anything else) however I'm a student. What address should I use?

My bank accounts (and overdraft) are registered to my parents address and I'm on the electoral roll at my parents address.

I was named on a electric/gas bill at my student accommodation two years ago and am on the electoral roll at my current student house (though don't have any bills in my name).

Should I completely disregard my student addresses and just give my parents address?

I'm hoping someone might be able to help

Saverholic you shouldn't be on the electoral roll twice (I think that might be a bit illegal) and you'd need to give all the addresses you've lived at in the last 6 years for the report to be correct.

Thanks for replying. I didn't intend to end up on the electoral roll twice but when I realised I was I checked and its apparently Ok as long as I don't vote twice. Next time round I'm going to try just to be registered at my parents address :o.

I'll have another look at the form and see how to make the addresses fit.

    Thanks again
  • It's a useful information to obtain credit cards.
  • I dont carry any credit cards yet, but I got an opportunity to have one as, my earning source is really good now and I can afford it but, as I have listen allot negative things about maintaining credit cards and mainly the scores so, I am still little confused about it.
  • I signed up for the Experian credit report yesterday, and on applying it said it could take up to 2 days to process and they will email the outcome. On the home page it says 30 day free trial with no obligation to continue. Today I get an email saying for ease my monthly subscription will come out immediately at the end of the free trial. Why does the email say this when the site says different, and which should I trust?
  • I've just recently viewed my experian credit report, it states on a couple of loans/credit cards.......

in the last 15 months of account activity the number of status 1-2 is 00 and the number of status 3+ is 00....

could anyone explain what that means please :o
  • Morning everyone! i'm new to the site, stumbled across when trying to find out exactly what my credit report will mean.

Well my passcode from Experian arrived just as i signed up and well its pretty blank. My sub £1k finance is on there, two loan searches that i processed, my current account and two insurance searches. None of which I am too bothered about. Though as I don't have masses of debt why cant i get credit?

the only thing that stands out as abnormal is my Electoral Roll name is spelt slightly differently, could this be the sole stopper from em getting credit? Its wrong by one letter. Is this all it is?

I'm only after £3K so i can enjoy a motorbike before any dry weather well and truly goes!

    Any help appreciated!
  • just did the equifax check also and nothing abnormal on there either.

Got the form from the council to update the electoral roll. I just cant think what else it could possibly be, any ideas?

This means that you have missed no payments since the account was opened, so this information should help your credit score.

  • I'm looking to obtain my most recent credit report through Experian.

Over a year and a half ago I obtained my report from Experian taking advantage of the 30 day trial and cancelling before I was charged. What I want to confirm is if I renew my membership will I be charged or would I be able to cancel again to ensure I wont be charged as I don't wish to use the service on a regular basis???

    Cheers
