How to obtain credit reports

  • I recently tried to get a new trial, having done it several years ago, and it said I'd have to pay.
  •

Last night, I went through all the procedure to use the online free trial that Experian/Credit Expert offer. Last year I used a free trial to view my credit report, and (mistakenly as it turns out) thought it had been Equifax I had used.
Filled in the forms, got to the end, and it flashed up "You have already had a free trial with credit expert".

OK, I thought, silly me, my memory is getting worse. There will be a cancel button, right..? It will offer me a choice not to proceed and be charged £7.99 for membership, right..?

Wrong. I was automatically taken to the next screen, where I was informed I had been charged £7.99. And then, again, automatically redirected to the "Member's Area".

Needless to say, I am very angry at this point. I then ring Experian today, and spent a long time on a completely pointless conversation, getting more and more frustrated. They refuse to accept that there is any fault on their part, say they cannot refund me the £7.99, and no, I can't speak to a manager/supervisor. All they will give me is an address for their complaints dept, and to cancel any further membership.
If I had known I was going to be charged,I would never have bothered in the first place. I am a disabled person on a limited income, and being charged £7.99 for something I didn't agree to is very upsetting.

does anyone have any suggestions/experience with similar situations..? Would be very grateful for any advice.
  • Are you sure you didn't miss a confirmation screen? They definitely warned me I would be charged if I proceeded, and gave me the chance to decline. I think it was on the screen that asked to confirm my address details.
  • Can some one here can share the details about experian credit cards?

Since this terminology is new to me..
  • HI

Firstly im sorry for posting this onto this thread but i cant work out how to make a new post.

My question is does any one know of any buses that run to the swansea enterprise park? i know there is the 31 but to my knowledge this stops at 17.45 is this true? is there any other buses that run later or is there another bus stop in walking distance. I currently live in the Midlands and am moving to swanea on thursday to start my new job. so any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks so much

    Jodie
  • It can be obtained by using you salary account.
  • Let me say I have credit card from my local bank account and I want to have reports for that credit card can Credit Reference Agencies (CRAs) be beneficial for me to provide me the credit reports for my credit card issued to me by my local bank.

I am new to credit cards so any wrong question should be ignored.

  • Hope this hasn't been answered already, but I have 13 accounts listed as "current" on my Equifax report, this included loans and cards settled and closed from some years ago. Any reason why they are still listed as current?
