I just called them to find out what my options were. Currently on a 1 month One Plan at £15 per month. Use about 3-4GB of data, 400mins, and about 200 texts per month. Hardly ever use tethering but occasionally use it with my iPad.

    They offered me:
    Unlimited mins, texts, internet
    4GB hotspot
    0800 numbers for free
    084/087 5p per min

This will still cost me £15 per month on a 30 day rolling contract. I've accepted it because I don't think there's anything better out there for me.

    Hope that helps...
If that's correct, and applies to most "One Plan" customers, it's not a bad deal.
Anyone know what happens when you reach the end of your tether(ing) on the newer 3 plans? I hope it just stops rather than running up a huge bill...
  • my opinion in this, is that they are only scrapping it because of the unlimited tethering, this was a nice plan while it lasted, and hope you all get a decent transfer to a new plan.

no doubt some of you don't have a land line, nor broadband, and were basically using your phone as a pure internet connection for other devices, no doubt some of you on 4g lol.

    RIP the one plan.

Ah see mine is an old contract one so will this still apply to me?

tried to speak to someone in the 3 store at lunch they didn't have a clue about what I was talking about and told me if it wasn't on the website itself then it wasn't true

Anyone on an old legacy plan will be moved once out of contract.
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

My contract is similar to Tissot's. I have been on the One Plan for about 3 years and changed to Sim Only One Plan after my 2 year contract expired. I only got a Smartphone so that I could tether, and I regularly use 180 to 200 gb per month tethering. So 4 gb wouldn't last me a day.

What I wish to know is can they legally do this.

Customers like you are probably one of the main reasons Three have done this...

Are you connecting remotely to my computer?

Your last paragraph is exactly what I am doing at the moment.

Just a thought. Have Sky and TalkTalk sent the boys around to 3 -giving them an offer they can't refuse -, complaining of their lose of revenue on the landline broadband connections. :D

Three made a huge deal at the fact you could use 1000gb if you really wanted to.

I'mgoing to say bye bye to three, ffirst the 1p charges for sms delivery reports, then increase after increase in fees, and now more changes.

The network isn't too be trusted.

I also received a text from 3 stating that they wanted to speak to me, however I am not on the 'one plan' ........

I'm currently on a 'Ultimate Internet 200' plan, I get:

    -200 mins
    -5000 SMS
    -All You Can Eat Data

This is a 1 month rolling sim only plan.

Anybody on a similar plan who's spoke to 3 yet?

    Regards.
    Mike

Hubby is on the One Plan I guess he'll be getting a text soon. Both me and my son are on the Ultimate Internet 200 plan so it looks like it will be affecting us too.

Time to say goodbye to Three I think.

  • I think we all knew unlimited tethering wasn't going to stay around forever.

Three still looks like a good deal to me, unlimited data for £15
