Three - We need to speak to you about changes to your plan

I received this text off three this morning, looking on social media this morning, lots of customers on the older all you can eat unlimited data (including hotspot) have received one.
So I'm forewarned and forearmed anyone here received one and rang them?

Ah you beat me to it. You must have posted as I was typing my post. Yeah I've got the same but thinking I'm going to avoid speaking to them for as long as I can. Don't think they are going to be offering us free cake and biscuits!0

Had exactly the same text. In my mind, it's for three to communicate with me to tell me what these changes are rather than me calling them. I'm also on the One Plan with unlimited data and tethering.0

Some people seem to think it is connected to usage - i don't think so because some months my use of hotspot is zero and my general usage is about 4gb so not particularly high.0

have received the text this morning and called them. after 1 h wait was told that they are cancelling all 'One plans'. and they will switch me to a new according to my usage in 60 days from receiving the text (i.e. from today). I can change to any other plan or leave 3.
my original 'the One plan' contract has expired several years ago but i managed to switch to sim only One Plan and have been paying £8/m coz i had lots of loyalty discounts. now they say that i can't keep all the discounts and need to pay the same amount as new customers are paying.
it looks like time to say goodbye to 3 unless upgrade team will offer something decent (which is very unlikely these days).
p.s. for about 1.5-2 year i have not had a broadband and have been using unlimited tehtering, which was good enough for browsing and even watching non-HD quality movies online. but since july i don't tether as moved to a new place and installed a bb. Ironically 3 reception inside my new house is very bad and their '3-in touch' app doesn't work for me. so no regrets if i have to move to another provider.0 -
