I'd send seperate letters but in same envelope, and 1 £10 is sufficient for both as its the same company
Good luck

I am in the process of claiming charges from Lloyds TSB. After doing steps 1 & 2, I have had 2 letters from the bank asking if i will give them more time to deal with the complaint. It is now reaching the 40 day time limit I stated on the original letter, still with no conclusion. They have now included a leaflet about the ombudsan service with this second letter. Just wondering if it is now time to threaten court action and register the claim on line? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks0 -

Hi Princess Kez, well done on your victory.
Just wanted to ask a question please - I have been given a court date of 16th august, can you tell me when i need to submit the court bundle - i haven't yet prepared it and i am getting really nervous - i am really hoping that they pay up without having to go to court but need to be prepared. The case was tranferred to my local court and they dispensed with the allocation questionnaire (don't know whether thats a good thing or not).
Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Yes don't stick to the banks timscales, you'll be waiting forever and a day  If you haven't sent your LBA (letter before action) yet then get it sent, if you have then file your claim.
The FO will take on your claim if you have waited 8 weeks from the date of the first letter you sent the bank asking for your charges back or they have said a final no we're not paying you, otherwise it's court
Good luck

Hi,
To be honest i'm not sure when you have to submit the bundle by as I never got a court date set, the folling thread on court bundles will probably be of help to you;

You will most probably find now you have a court date set, SC&M will settle  this is happening a lot,
Good luck with your claim, keep us posted

My first letter from Lloyds was to tell me that they have received my complaint and that it will take 4 weeks to look in to things. Well I got this a day after I sent my letter telling them that I will take them to court, I'm still waiting for my 2nd letter, I gave them 7 days and it's the 7th day to do so I will wait till tomorrow, then I'll strike.... I'm not waiting around for them.
Why do people take it to the FO, isn't court a quicker action?0 -
i have gone as far as threatening court action against lloyds tsb, and today got a cheque for £750 - stating -
'further to our previous letter please find enclosed a cheque to the value of £750 we are sorry there has been some delay'
I will of course write and ask them what this is all about and for a copy of there previous letter as it does not make any sense - I am asking for £2299 which includes interest -
has anyone else been treated like this as I'm confused as to what to do next - also the eletter enclosing the £750 does not say what it is for and whether it is full and final settlement?
help anyone??0
