Re the handle, I think a handy chap or son with a pair of pliers should be able to undo the bit of thread in the actual knob. then if they unscrew a second knob and take the intact screw to a hardware store, they should be able to get replacements. If that does not work I would remove the least used knob and swap it with the snapped one, then stick the snapped one in place using a two part epoxy resin

Hi Beanie, re your falls.  we pay our council £18 a month for alarms door /bed /chair.  hubby has a wrist watch that he can push also a falls detector .  You do need a land line for device to work. they can talk to you once its activated, send help etc.also smoke and carbon detector

I was thinking of you when I saw the route The Queen took and wondered how close it was. I think it’s quite nice that her final days were in the place she loved ❤️

I saw the horses and tractors on tv Beanie. I’ve dipped in and out of the tv coverage….much as I admired The Queen…..you can have too much of a good thing. Ive quite enjoyed listening to the radio as they’ve been playing some lovely meaningful music.
