Probably won't get back on thread this week - seem to have spiralled into deep doldrums and will take me a while to get myself out of it.
*Lowers rope ladder down into doldrums* Here mate, climb up.;)
If you could manage just to pop in and wave - no need to say anything much if you don't feel like it - I for one would be glad to "see" you.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

(((jttou))) no advice, sorry, but well done on the weight loss xxx
(((mrs mp))) again, no advice, sounds like she's cross with herself - you do an awful lot for her xxx

Not much flying here - well, not by me. The kitchen was tidy when I got home and the laundry fairy had put a wash on...

I did the grocery shopping and had a little time to browse the toy section, still no ideas. But we have food in the fridge, and MIL has started the Xmas stash (at my house) with an iced Xmas cake from her local market for £1. They are MandS ones but sold of cheap as the packaging is bashed or a bit of fondant holly is squished. I can't actually see what's wrong with this one...

She has also bought pudsey bear ears for the kids and took them to a play centre today. Plus she has supplied pork pies for Wednesday night and is making a pot of proper mushy peas! Good job I bought her some flowers to say thanks for all the babysitting!

So tonight I'm sifting my hotspot pile. School admission letter for DD (just applied online, aww). Lights of Love donation for hospice (not sure I can face going to the service, but I'll send some ££s), kl33neze catalogue to browse before it goes back out tomorrow (won't buy but like to look) and a pile of kids artwork to file in the circular filing cabinet :D

I'm WFH the next two days so should have time to squeeze in a flutter or two! We are having a few fireworks on Wed so I won't mop the floors till later in the week as the granddads tramp in and out muddier than the little ones!

    Marvellous Monday - Kitchen

Frog eaten. It was a kitchen frog, - cleaning on top of the fridge-freezer. It gets a kind of greasy residue on it if it hasn't been wiped for a while :o Now all shiny and clean again

    Surfaces wiped
    Hoovered the floor
    cleaned out the cutlery drawer
I just managed to give the cooker a quick wipe-over, - hoping to take it apart and give it a proper clean this week sometime.

just the two of us, it might be worth getting a second opinion or asking a doctor to confirm that the weight-loss was for health reasons. How silly for them to pass it off as patient choice. Grrr
Hope you manage to get your replacement prosthesis

  • Thank you heuchera.

Baby slept all morning. Shame I had to wake him up to get ds1 from preschool. He's at an age (7mths) where he still smiles at being woken. Unlike the other 2 who moan, cry and are generally angry at being woken from their slumber.

Anyway, it meant I got all my list done plus another wm load and gave the bathroom a good clean.

All is quiet again, dh has been working in Ireland today and isn't due home until 11pm ish (I shall be zonked out by then).

Quick look over the threads then back to knitting little mans jumper. Nice to see lots of other knitters :)

Thank you for all the lovely welcomes too. :D
  • Hi all

Just caught up on the thread, sending good wishes to you as well jttou hope you get something sorted.

LW you and OH are as bad as us lot here, we keep saying we should have our own reserved parking space at the hospital. I really need to get DS2s knee checked out as he is getting a lot of bother with it.

So, done lots of paid stuff, scrubbed out the fridge, clean the bits of the kitchen that are usable (OH is now tiling the floor). Done 2 loads of washing which is just finishing off on the airer, made some scones and some buns, been to aerobics and got all the washing up done and cleared away. Jim jams on and an early night with my new library book I think.

    Hi again

Thanks for list -just doing little bits again this week.

OH may have found somewhere to go(I could tell him)but its still a couple of weeks before he can move. I am either sad or at the' stuff him' stage. I don't have many friends in the real world but all the hugs and wishes from you guys really have helped me along and I know I will get through this in time.

Just going to do quick tidy round and load DW and have a read of the paper before bed.

Can I join in the Christmas card swap if I'm not on facebook please?

    Love to all
