I'm not on the facebook group either, but I'd like to join in the secret santa too if you're accepting relative newbies...
Work emails decluttered, and one more essay marked. Going to get a cuppa then will do the next one. Slow and steady, I'll get there!0 -
Morning all
Lost track of last week's thread as I was on a knitting mission. I'm away next week :J and want to complete my jumper to take with me.
Thank you for the lists this week Dusty and to Ionafan for the challenges for the last couple of months.
Mrs MP - agree with Pigpen, your MIL only has herself to blame. Hope this week is better for you.
Welcome to newbies and hello returners
This morning before the paid stuff I emptied the DW, put stuff away from the drainer, fed cats and cleaned the litter tray.
Have a great week all

Kitchen Done!
Cloakroom Done! ( easier for me to get this done today, and had spare 15 mins before coffee)
Still raining. Just had coffee and read a bit more of a French crime novel I bought in the summer, but hadn't started - should keep me out of mischief for a while.
Not sure what to do between now and lunch. Could paint bathroom ceiling, or investigate some kitchen cupboards. Ho hum.
Mrs MP MIL obviously feeling guilty, and trying to pass it on. Hugs.
CyclingYorkie I've just realised that it's not the Christmas cards that you're doing, doh! I'd like to join in please. I think I'm on the Facebook group - well, Natty sent me an invite. How's your daughter doing nowadays? It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

Good idea Dancemum. I only list things I think will make £30+ now, or stuff that's a hassle to take to the tip. I found I had stacks of low value items (mainly baby clothes etc) 'to ebay' which were cluttering the place up, and decided the clean house and clear space, and time, were more valuable to me than the few quid I would make. When I added together the time for photographing, listing, packing, and posting an item, I decided it wasn't worth it for 99p!
I still list furniture, I find it's worth the hassle and means someone comes and takes it away. And I list electronics if they're relatively recent. Most other stuff goes to charity as quickly as possible now.0 -
Wot everyone else has said, Mrs MP. And (((hugs))) obviously.cyclingyorkie wrote: »FLYLADY SECRET SANTA
I have volunteered to organise this again this year. (Unless anyone else desperately wants to.) So I'm just asking is this okay with everyone?
Thank you for offering to do it, CY. May I be included?Better is good enough.0 -
Does anyone else struggle to discipline themselves to get to bed at a decent time? I tend to go to bed and end up online until gone midnight, which I know isn't good for me. Suggestions?
I have some terrible problems sleeping at times, partly I believe caused by workplace stress. One of the main things I do is make my bedroom a quiet place. No tv or music, no laptop and I try to avoid using my phone as much as possible (but as my BF doesn't live with me we do end up messaging a lot). I try very hard to have a routine so at 9.30-10 I start with little things like tidying up downstairs, dishes in the washer etc, sometimes have a hot drink, then I aim to be in bed for 10.30 and read a little (I find this relaxing) with lights out for 11. I also have lavander smelling candles etc to make it a relaxing atmosphere.
Another tip might be to make sure the room is sufficiently dark and to open the curtains when you wake so the light stops you going back to sleep.
Hope you find something to help

Hi all - sorry to moan but need some virtual hugs please. If you don't want to read the moan below I have whited it out.
I was so pleased with my new bra and felt so good all weekend because it fit properly- but my right side boob prosthesis I have is now far too big. Apparently I can't have a new one until May 2016 unless I pay for it myself as weight loss is patient choice! Why then did my practise nurse encourage me to lose weight? Not stopped crying since.
Sorry to land this one on you all but just feeling pigging out - or asking to have reconstructive surgery! ( which I don't really want).
Having a cuppa then might go for a walk in this lovely sunshine.
