JTTOU (((hugs))) I think I'd agree with dusty. The weight loss will be so much better for your health, I really wouldn't regret it in any way.

Decided against painting the bathroom ceiling, as all the bits I needed were in garage and it was torrential rain. Instead, I deep cleaned the top of the large larder unit in kitchen, and threw out all the instructions and warranties for all the things we no longer own.

I have also sewn up a tea cosy that DD knitted for friend's birthday. No idea how to do picture from iPad though, sorry.

I finished the list this morning (including a couple of little extras), then went to see my friend, who is having a bad day, and still no news on her clinic appointment. It really puts my little troubles in perspective.

I have done WMx3 and hung a few things out on the whirligig but nothing is properly dry, so it will go in the TD or be draped round the bathroom radiator.

I have made a bit of progress on other things this afternoon. It's the Old Wives' meeting this evening, making up the Christmas shoeboxes, then knit and natter (mustn't forget my knitting and spare wool).

(((Hugs))) JTTOU. Don't let this spoil your sense of achievement and pleasure in the new you. You may be eligible to apply for a one-off Macmillan Grant - scroll down to page 104 in this leaflet. If they can't help, they may be able to point you to someone who can.
  • I've finished all the list and we have a landline again.Had a brilliant afternoon at book club with a gorgeous tea.
Hope all the sick fly ladies are feeling better, and Katiecat,it happened to me after 23 years but eight years later I met a much better man,so there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Two fairly small but intensely irritating Frogs have been duly munched - yum yum!:D

Mr LW got a call from the horse-piddle; they want him to have a follow-up appointment with the urologist; initially they wanted him to go tomorrow, but he said he can't take time out from work at that short notice, so he's going Tuesday next week. I shall be glad when it's the end of it all!

  • Thank you all for the hugs - you have made me tearful again with your kindness.
Have put old undies back on and waiting for call from Br Care nurse - not happened! Thanks Iona - will use that as last resort. Wouldn't mind but haven't claimed anything I could have since I left work early last Sept - wish I had now!

Probably won't get back on thread this week - seem to have spiralled into deep doldrums and will take me a while to get myself out of it.

You all are the best friends anyone could have. xx
