We're in of sorts. I have something on every day this week

DD and I have spent 8 hours in her bedroom blitzing it today :D Her room is now done except for 2 boxes of old school work. She has parted with enough stuff to fill 2 black binbags with rubbish, a crisp box of paperwork & another of empty packaging for recycling, 2 crisp boxes & a binbag of stuff for charity! She's even parting with the plaster cast from when she broke her knee. My room however looks like the council tip with all the stuff waiting to go as both wheelie bins are full & very heavy. Thankfully they'll be emptied tomorrow. :) I asked how it was we do this every October half term and every year we end up with more or less the same amount of stuff being chucked; her answer: "I get more mature each year so I'm able to let go of more stuff for example the majority of the school work from primary school this year." Well that's me told :rotfl::rotfl:

Monday I have paid stuff, errands I want to get done (including popping into the charity shop to see when they can come and collect the donations), and I need to fling the remainder of the recycling in the bin so I can reclaim one side of my bedroom! Tuesday I have an appointment in the town centre so I'll be running errands there, Wed I have a doctors appointment in the afternoon so will run other errands in the morning, Thursday paid stuff and Friday DD might be going away for the weekend (if not then, then it'll be Saturday morning) if she doesn't we're thinking of going into town to see the Christmas lights being switched on :D We haven't done that in YEARS :o So Friday will be laundry day making sure everything is washed/dried/ironed. I have no idea what I'll be doing at the weekend but sleeping and not much is a very good possibility!

I'd best get to bed as I'm up at 6am with DD. I have the feeling its going to be a long but short week if that makes sense :(

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Thank you Dusty for the new thread.

I will try to check in this week, I'm struggling to manage 2 jobs so something had to give and it's been the thread. Please forgive me if I don't read and just post. DH has finally put his summer bits away and gave the bedroom a once over so that's a head start for next week ;-)

Hello's to the regulars and welcome to anyone new thinking of joining in.

Back to school tomorrow PE bags done but have nothing in for packed lunches so school dinners it will be.

Morning all. Thanks for the list. I'm in again but will concentrate on the LR this morning as its looking lived in!

Honey - I had forgotten about my cross stitch stuff, problem these days is bad eyesight and I dislike the energy saving bulbs.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

    Good morning.

Thank you Natty and Dusty for the lists.

Should manage to get something done today as I'm not at my vol job on a Monday now. Need to nip out up the street for some bits.

Made leek and potato soup for yesterday so that's lunch sorted.
Hopefully get into spare room and sort that a bit. Have got a few presents and need to sort them into piles. We have two extra little ones this year. Just need to remember which present was for who.

    Welcome to the newbies.

    morning all
thank you for the lists dusty and Natty - im in again
hugs spoons sticks positive vibes and gentle supporting thoughts where ever they are needed.

i admit getting slightly annoyed with mil re the fractured vertebra that "she didnt know how it happened and hadnt done anything to cause it". the heck she hadnt, she mentioned once to me that shed like her big heavy leather recliner back near the fire side, i just said i can but it means you wont be able to use the special cushion the docs gave you as it wont fit in that chair (after her op id swapped the chairs over so she could use the cushion) within 2 days the chairs had been swapped over and shed got the bad back, i thought DH moved them for her one night but she finally admitted to me shed 'bummed it over' by leaning against it and bashing her bottom against it till it moved. just because she couldnt wait for me to do it. Now shes in agony, it seems daft that she'll ask me to turn a page on her calendar and cant sweep the kitchen floor or do basic light cleaning but she can break her back being stubbon just because i didnt jump quick enough and yes i was told if i had done it when she asked she wouldnt be in this pain now so basically its all my fault. i cant win. - sorry moan over
