Found some garlicky onion and tomato soup in the 'soup box' in the freezer so a quick defrost, added half a tin of rinsed mixed beans and heated. Cooked a couple of those part-baked wm rolls in the micro and yummed !!
Work cancelled again :eek:So I am off for a walk to some of the High Street jobs whilst have the chance.

Hello to newbies and returners.
I am going to attempt a bit later, as I've just got back from work, but I feel awful - splitting headache that I can't shake off. GOing to fetch the kids now which will make my head feel much better, I'm sure :rotfl:
Mummyof5 hope your school run wasn't as bad as feared
Lovely ducks Ionafan :T
Sorry to hear you not feeling well - hope you soon feel better. Maybe a cuppa and sit-down with your feet UP for ten mins would help eh

No cat come back..
I foresee some door knocking going on.. that'll be fun.. 5 out of my 6 neighbours immediate are polish and the rest of the street are from various other parts of the world.. English is definitely not the first language down my street and while I love cultural diversity and the opportunities and experiences it brings to my family it makes it very difficult communicating anything!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Main bedroom I'm sticking to a short list, but Done!
Very tired today, so I did what needed to be done and have left it. Just need to replace bed linen.
Some paperwork has been decluttered, as I can do that from the sofa.
Just about to have a cup of tea, then may sort out a few bits for Oxfam.
Vanilla I agree with the others, you gave kitten love and care.

Hi all
Gods, I'm late on today; netbook has been having a hissy fit, and I've spent far too much time trying to get it to play nicely. Now doing a complete cleanup/scan, and I'm on the pc. Not happy, as I don't like sitting up at the desk to type. A bit of thread catch-up is in order, methinks....
Mummyyof5 re the mobility scooter – hold your head high and ignore any stares or comments. I get a few funny looks walking the dogs on mine, specially as nowadays I have the dogs lead attached to my belt, but I just take no notice; if they don't like it, tough, it's what I need to do to keep doing the dogsitting. Best of luck, mate.:o
Cattysmum welcome.
Piggers I'm so sorry to hear that Noel's time for rainbow bridge has come. Safe journey wishes for him. Reading your later posts today, I do wonder if he's taken himself off somewhere private.:(
Englishrose how annoying re the dog poo. I get really cross at owners who won't clean up after their dog – believe me, it's horrid in a wheelchair; if it gets on your wheels, it invariably gets on hands and sleeves as well if you're self-propelling.
Vanilla I am so sorry to hear about the wee kitten.:( I feel bad that I didn't know about it til now, so wasn't able to send healing; at least the little mite knew some love in it's short life.
Due to the naughty netbook, I've got not a lot done today; have made a Shepherd Spy for tonight's and tomorrow's dins though (I shan't feel like cooking tomorrow) and also a choccie mousse to use up the unpasteurised cream we had left from doing Sunday's quiche, so Mr LW will be a happy hubby tonight.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I love all the ducks!
I put a dishwasher wanted ad on gumtr33 and someone less than a mile away has one she wants to get rid of, so that's looking good. Unfortunately OH is really busy and needs the car, so it'll have to wait until Friday. I've dusted off the Marigolds for him in the meantime.
My 15 item list is now nine items, and one of those has to be done tonight, so that's better. I definitely under-estimate how much I need to do and the time each item will take which is why I always seem to be playing catch-up.Better is good enough.0
