Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I am still learning to pace myself and some days are better than others for me.

I'm very sorry to hear about the kitten. I don't know what I'd do without my cats.

Aww Vanilla I'm sorry to hear that. RIP little kitty :(

I've had an early lunch - feeling hungry today. I also threw some veg in a pan for soup later.

I've sorted the post, mainly into the recycling ;) except some cheques. I cashed in some small policies that we had - they weren't cost effective so I figure it was better to take the hit now and reinvest elsewhere with hopefully better charges and performance. It was a daft decision I made when I wasn't feeling my best, but I can put it right now. So my plan is to pay them into the bank until they clear, then decide where they can sit until I can open junior ISAs.

I had a little tidy in the conservatory this morning before school. Th chairs are cleared of toys and tat but the windowsills are cluttered. If I get time I'll do more tidying after work. I've S&S the kitchen too.

Oh, mrs mp I saw a knitted poppy this morning! Popped into school office and bought a poppy for me and a wristband each for the littlies. They only had paper ones, but a girl at school had the knitted one on her jacket, looked very cute.

    Back to my day job...

Wednesday Master Bedroom, Stairs and Landing
    Hoover stairs and landing
    Dust sills etc
    Hoover bedroom
    Dust sills and furniture
Lampshade down in spare room (sold on fb)
Pick up christmas pressie for nephew

    Afternoon all,

Short list today as I have the bf visiting tonight and we're out to watch the local fireworks so time will be restrictive. As we don't see much of each other I don't like to spend the time we have doing housework but at the same time I don't want to not to anything!

Completed most of yesterday's list bar cleaning out the drawer. I did however rip the skirtings off the walls in the spare room, I'll finish clearing it and get the rubbish to the tip at the weekend. I want to get it decorated over the next couple of weeks as I'd also like to do my room before Christmas. Actually I'd like to do the whole house before Christmas but I need to be realistic on budget and time!

Hope you're all having a good day, enjoy fireworks for those of you going out and hope any pets etc aren't too disrupted.

    Afternoon

Vanilla - sorry to hear about the kitten but you did at least give it a lovely evening and a warm night.

Pig-pen - sorry that Noel is ready to go onwards

Ionafan - lovely picture of the ducks

LW - hope all goes well for you tomorrow - posi-vibes
I think I will walk the dog, as I have the car.
    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Did all the dailies and then, as it's a lovely day here, I opened all the windows and have hot wiped all the paintwork I can get to without moving heavy stuff.

Just finished and now the tuna salad I was going to have doesn't look quite so exciting so off to rummage for some soup.

    Afternoon all

Piggers and Vanilla peaceful cat vibes for you both

    welcome newbies and returners.

Been for a walk with a friend. I realised that after seeing some people I feel uplifted and others I feel drained, need to see more of the former and less of the later!

    WM1&2 on the line
    DW emptied
    Washing up nearly done

Going to do 15 minutes leaf clearing to line the bottom of the wheelie bin and then I need to pop out and collect a letter and do a little shopping. Hopefuly will be back in time for a bit of flying.

    Afternoon all

Been flying but not posting. I'm on a knitting mission, so by the time it gets to my bedtime, I'm almost crawling into bed

Vanilla - so sorry about the kitten, but you showed it love and kindness for it's final hours
Pigpen - hope today goes as well as it can (if you can find him)

Dusty - thank you for asking, my knee is still painful and swollen (although, thankfully it's not noticeable). The private physio wanted £145 for 45 mins, so I'm going to have to grin and bear it until the end of the month.

    Welcome newbies x

    Yesterday:

    LR, hallway & kitchen vacuumed
    Sofa vacuumed
Vacuumed all the picture rails downstairs
    LR & hallway dusted
    Washing up done

    This morning:

    WM
    DW

Need to look for under the bed storage, I have no airing cupboard and the blanket box my dad made for me last Christmas, he never painted (just primed it, it's still in bits from January) and as we are estranged it's never going to happen. Good news is that my sis-in-law says she'll use it as a toy box.

    Have a good afternoon all

Dust suckers used and put away, most of the kitchen floor swabbed. Now knac*ered.

The part the d/wer needs probably isn't available any more and if it were, it would cost the price of a secondhand dishwasher anyway. We'll be washing up by hand for a while. OH has had an attack of the vapours.
    Better is good enough.
  • Thanks lynnejk! Seeing it written like that, it does sound odd! In my defence, I drove to the seafront, and we walked along the beach :D We got wet!

I have been trying to clear piles of paper & general toot from the DR. As well as the 2 pieces of furniture listed this morning (one of which is a large bookcase, currently residing in the hall!), I have also listed 2 text books. They have been lying around in there since my DD cleared her room in August! (why does having a 'clear out' result in more stuff downstairs!?)

I am going to get a few bits taken to the CS, and get some bread & ham from the shop before I need to pick up from school.

I am feeling a bit deflated about what I have (or haven't) achieved today :( I have decluttered 2 programmes from the TV box!!

Bed is stripped but cannot go in machine yet as filter is blocked and cannot work out how to get it out

Blue job for DH when he is home later. Some jobs in our house are distinctly blue or pink, and the rest are a shade of the two.[/STRIKE] Now sorted and bedding is on the line

[STRIKE]Other jobs for today are to finish painting in the utility room, about 20 minutes work.[/STRIKE]

Sort under the kitchen sink and make a list of what is there. We seem to have an overload of cleaning products.

    [STRIKE]Bottle the pickled onions.[/STRIKE]

[STRIKE]Then some reading time for Christmas recipe inspiration.[/STRIKE]

Have a good day all, from the Land of Milk and Beans

[STRIKE]Order one item for Christmas[/STRIKE]Not ordered but priced up and now checking for voucher codes

Just under the kitchen sink to go, if I am not back in one hour please send a search party:rotfl:

Sorry to hear about your kitten Vanilla xx

    Hello to newbies and returners.

I am going to attempt a bit later, as I've just got back from work, but I feel awful - splitting headache that I can't shake off. GOing to fetch the kids now which will make my head feel much better, I'm sure :rotfl:

Mummyof5 hope your school run wasn't as bad as feared

    Lovely ducks Ionafan :T
