Morning all and  GI - lovely to have you back, and congratulations on finishing your foundation degree.
This morning I have already
- bossed (his word rather than mine  ) DH into replacing the curtain ring
- dusted up the stairs and round the bathroom and master bedroom
- showered and dressed
Now dashing out to a meeting at 10.00 re my voluntary job, then shopping, and I have to do some proper work and visit my friend this afternoon. She sounded much brighter on the phone yesterday evening hopefully she'll hear about her clinic appointment today.
See you later.....0 -
:mad:got home and realised I had stepped in dog poo! Too busy walking and talking to another mum. said boots are currently outside, I just can't face them yet.
Wudupa
Hoover
Sort washing (not doing our bedding as ds had wet his and did ours Saturday)
Do the flying list - had to sew up a hole in our duvet as feathers went everywhere every time I changed the sheets therefore underbed is empty as I had to sort and Hoover feathers up!)
Clean the dreaded poo boots.
Hugs to all those having cat issues. How is the kitten this morning vanilla?
Love the ducks, am tempted to attempt my own once ds2 jumper is done.
Maybe I should do the boots first as it is already becoming a major frog. Oooooo I just don't want to !! If I didn't have to do the school pick up I would be tempted to leave for dh to deal with
Suppose I better get on. Sushi star, cooker comment made me laugh. Mine don't come off so god knows what's lurking under them.0 -

I am joining you today
Bed is stripped but cannot go in machine yet as filter is blocked and cannot work out how to get it out
Blue job for DH when he is home later. Some jobs in our house are distinctly blue or pink, and the rest are a shade of the two.
Other jobs for today are to finish painting in the utility room, about 20 minutes work.
Sort under the kitchen sink and make a list of what is there. We seem to have an overload of cleaning products.
Bottle the pickled onions.
Then some reading time for Christmas recipe inspiration.
Have a good day all, from the Land of Milk and Beans0 -
Well, I am up!! And showered - so at least that is something
I have 1 load in WM, wiped down kitchen and put away at least 5 items (yay!), had breakfast and looked at my lists. I have also listed 2 items of furniture on EBeast (no luck on FB sites as yet), so not been completely idol. DD2 returned home from work while I was showering as she had been sick this morning, so they sent her home (works with vulnerable children). She says she feels ok. She assures me she isn't pregnant!!
I think I will walk the dog, as I have the car. When hubby tried to drive it to work it objected - by flashing its hazard lights and bleeping the alarm!!! I have tried it, and it is fine (huh?!). It may be an issue with his key card (?)
Ok - back to it!0 -
Morning all, little kitten died this morning
it would have been a complete miracle if it had survived, barely breathing yesterday and really cold but it did seem to pick up last night and move a little. Breathing was really good, it even moved off it's bed last night. Kids seen it before they went to school and it was meowing but when i came back it meowed for a little while and then just stopped breathing.

In a world that has decided that it's going to lose its mind, be more kind my friend, try to Be More Kind0 -
Hugs, Pigpen and Vanilla. We give them as good a life as we can for as long as we can, and we know when the end comes it should be painless and as stress-free as possible for them. It's very sad.
It's a finishing off day here. I've got little piles of carp all over the place, of half done tasks and 'I must just ...' things to do. I've scrubbed out the filters on the D/Wer and set it on a cleaning run, but it's stalled twice and I'm just fed up with it. Not sure what the way forward is because d/wer engineers seem to be a picky breed. W/M has twirled and stuff is out there in the damp but sunny, cold and breezy air. Bottom layer dy$oned and first two flights of stairs have been du$t devilled. More to go.
There are [STRIKE]half a dozen[/STRIKE] - so that's why I always feel overwhelmed - it's [STRIKE]14[/STRIKE] 15! - things I need to do and I don't want to spend the whole day putting them off, so I'm going to list them and see if crossing them off gives me any satisfaction.
[STRIKE]15 mins in my office[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Shower room S&S[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Scrub shower tiles and panels[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Deal with two broken seed feeders[/STRIKE]
Wash dusters
[STRIKE]Rescue vinegar bottles and put with preserving stuff[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Put recylcing in car
Hat in car
Dy$on top two layers inc OH's office
Du$t devil the rest of the stairs
Flea Mrs Dog and Devil Cat
Put stuff in the attic
Remove zips from horrid cushions[/STRIKE]
Slip stitch dressing gown where nescessary, including tie belt.
Think through finishing off sleeves and have first stab at itBetter is good enough.0
