Tremendous Tuesday - Living Room and Hallway

We don't have a coffee table, so I pulled out the big table (this rarely gets done :o) and vacced behind it, and gave it a wipe-over.

Hoovered the living room floor and hoovered one of the sofas. Someone likes eating their croissants and snacks on there I think, - it always gets crumby!

Did a towels wash, and steam-mopped the bathroom floor.

Good Luck on Thursday LameWolf. I feel the same when I have to speak with people who have 'power' over me! They are there to help you, though. I hope they can give you something to take the pain away.

  • Evening all, DD did really well last night and got a 1st and 2nd. :j
Today it has been one thing or another. Found a kitten down at MIL's that has been seen on its own for awhile now but OH found it at her back door and thought it had died. Of course i went to down and it was slightly alive very weak and limp. :( So i have it brought up and now if front of the fire, it was so cold the poor wee thing.... Hoping it picks up soon, it's just moving every so often but not much. So lots of positive thoughts needed flyladies if you can spare.

Flying has been very little today for me but OH has powerhosed the path outside so no more slipping. :)

Welcome to even more newbies and returnees :j

Thanks for the invitation to join you earlier, lynnejk - I started writing a progress report but obviously forgot to press Send when I'd finished  I crossed a couple of things off my list, but one of the wooden curtain rings is broken and I shall need DH's help tomorrow morning to unscrew the rail and put a spare ring on (luckily I have several). I have not managed much other work today as I crashed out this afternoon with a headache. Better now.

its such a lovely feeling to clean things that are only a little bit dusty or dirty, rather than getting fed up seeing dirt for so long that I do a job in desperation, only for it to descend again 2 days later - this way I get to enjoy my clean/tidy/organised habitat for longer. (

Definitely! A year ago we still had builders working here and the dust was dreadful. Now even the black ash units stay clean for days on end and I can be proud of my home :)

BTW, for anyone who doesn't know me, there are usually only the two of us in this house, and no children to sabotage the tidying. DH is still learning to fly, quite slowly, but he has made remarkable progress from when I first knew him :A

I will know when I have really arrived as there will be twinks in the oven :rotfl:

Ooooohhh, I can just imagine that glorious smell!!!! Unfortunately they're not very SW-friendly, but I might treat myself to a batch this week as we have friends coming to stay for a couple of nights.
all ducks have been released, (church doorway, library shelf, tesc0 trolley bay and Drs waiting room) the one i left in the sains trolly has dissappeared now.:T
    ...
oh anyone with littlies sains Ts and coop are all RTCing their halloween bits i got a lovely sparkly witches dress and a little skeleton PJ type outfit for £2 each they should have been £8 & £6

I have found three little ducks which held creme eggs, so I will stuff them later while watching the Masterchef Professionals and release them with labels when I go shopping tomorrow . Thanks for the costumes tip - I expect my DGC would enjoy having some more dressing up clothes, especially skeletons!

Had a chat with my friend on the phone this evening - she sounds a million times better than she did yesterday and has actually eaten today :)

I like garden centres too. There's a nice big one near us that also has a pet shop area, cafe and does a Santa grotto. Might have to schedule a visit... Also want to catch the train with the kiddies into L33ds one evening once the lights have been switched on and the Tr!nity centre is decked up.

So, tonight I've cleaned up the kitchen, and the DW is on. Sorted my paper hotspot pile and have a bit more for the green bin. Folded up the laundry from the airer. Divided up dinner leftovers and popped in fridge. Sorted some de-icer for the car - not sure where the scraper is, might be in the car already. Also sorted the kiddies reflective belts - was dark coming home from school club tonight. Then checked over my battery collection and power cut kit. Feel very organised!

I've also cleaned the downstairs loo. Aww. DS shouted me after dinner: "mummy, I've had a naughty wee! It came out so fast and went all over" bless him. His little thing is like a helicopter blade whirling around sometimes lol. Anyway, loo and floor cleaned and anti-bacced.

Debating if I want a bath tonight or whether I'll just have a shower in the morning.

Thanks, mrs-mp - the labels are very pretty. I suppose what I've got are really Easter chicks, but rounded beaks and webbed feet in orange felt should transform them into ducks like the ones pictured on the labels :rotfl: There is a very easy knitting pattern here.
  • they will be perfect, some people have even done duck style bookmarks or things like that.

had to smile at the thought of a helicopter wee, my boys are bigger now so thankfully havent had to deal with things like that for a looooong time

  • Evening all,

Well what a long day it's been - feel exhausted now. Today I've done my dailies - shined sink, made beds, washed up etc and have also decluttered the living room table and a few bits that were lurking.

Hopefully I'll get time to do some more flying tomorrow and wont feel as tired.

    Night...zzzzzz....

    So...
[STRIKE]Wipe over the hob, clean all the dials, take them off and clean underneath[/STRIKE] :)
