    Afternoon

Had a wonderful time with my friend at the garden centre chatting over a cuppa. Had a wander afterward and got a 'Nan' Christmas card and a couple of really lovely decorations one is more wintery so up all ready to remind me I am so lucky to have lovely friends to spend time with.

House is nice and tidy and clean downstairs (well if you don't look to closely). Washing in and airing.

Going to feed mogs and do dinner next and then see what else I can do from my list that is not a long job.

    Hi Flyladies

Please accept my thanks for inspiring me to get organised whilst I have been off work

Our house now feels like a home, items not used have been binned, ebayed or passed to the charity shop.

We have a groceries inventory, a meal plan for the month and enough food to not need to buy except the perishables that cannot be frozen, a household planner with the last four weeks of FL rooms and tasks to be done.

I will know when I have really arrived as there will be twinks in the oven :rotfl:

Thanks again, please have a drink on me which ever you prefer - :coffee::beer:

    Hi Everyone

I hope I can join. I really need this thread to help me get organised with housework. Since I had heart surgery last year, I just don't seem to have the energy/motivation to do it. I wasn't able to do anything yesterday, so I have done a bit of both today, after I got home from work.
Welcome; hopefully we can help with the motivation, and the energy will follow naturally.:o I don't need to tell you not to push yourself beyond what you can realistically do.;) Quite a few of us have health issues of one sort or another; the only "rule" here is we never, ever fail, we forgive ourselves if we don't do all we'd have liked, and move on.:o Well done on what you've managed to do today.:T

Fwiw, I haven't done a great deal today apart from a WM load, sort the rubbish (bin day today) and add a few days onto the end of the meal plan. I was awake in pain most of the night, and still have pins'n'needles in both hands. Plus I had a veritable plethora of online survey invitations in my inbox. Hopefully catch up a bit tomorrow.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Bossy schools tend to give the kiddies stick on poppies which really are rubbish and dont last the day. My best advice would be to write childs name on back of poppy and if you get one with the long plastic stalk either put it through the button hole or pin a safety pin inside their shirt and wedge the poppy stalk behind the stem below that little barb bit so it cant fall off.
OR they do a very nice wristband blue with poppies on that cant be lost
finished poppy and put it together just need to fix fastener on the back it looks quite good.
i used the 5 petal pattern but quite like the ribbed tube one but not sure it looked enough like a poppy for caretaker so played safe.

LW hugs to you and i agree with what iona said MrLW love will protect you from ever coming to harm again just be strong enough to know that and all will be well

all ducks have been released, (church doorway, library shelf, tesc0 trolley bay and Drs waiting room) the one i left in the sains trolly has disappeared now.:T
Lynne thank you for your very kind comment, i love crafting but my house would be full if i kept it all so i get pleasure from making and passing on. i will admit my house would be much tidier if i put as much effort into flying as i do to crafting:D, i spot a new thing or hear someone wants something and tend to go off an a tangent and dive in before thinking how much time it will take.:o

oh anyone with littlies sains Ts and coop are all RTCing their halloween bits i got a lovely sparkly witches dress and a little skeleton PJ type outfit for £2 each they should have been £8 & £6 also got some window deccys and hazzard tape for 50p each.

warfarin levels have come down slightly but still high so back again next week, just feeding boys then going to head out to careers evening and meet DH there.

downstairs inc LR hoovered + stairs.
    mopped
    dusted LR

wm x 4 - including the stuff the cats piddled on has round twice:)
Currently washing a load of nappies I want to sell, trying to get rid of the grey-whiteness :rotfl:
more sorting of NNS stuff - have used all my 80 labels so will have to print off some more:eek:
debobbled a wool ring sling which I'm planning to sell and hand washed it - thinking I probably should have debobbled after washing - nevermind :p
beef casserole and dumplings in the slow cooker, potatoes cooked and mashed and half eaten for kids tea, so dinner is done
10kg of kitten food has arrived, so I was glad to be in today as they've only got about 3 days left out of the last bag
Went to the violin lesson and have done some reward charts on the puter for violin practice, spellings and phonics, just need to print them out.
Will s&S bathroom tonight while kids are in the bath, put away some clean washing and iron my uniforms for the next 2 days.

See you tomorrow, working though so I'll probably get very little done. The house however is slowly improving - its such a lovely feeling to clean things that are only a little bit dusty or dirty, rather than getting fed up seeing dirt for so long that I do a job in desperation, only for it to descend again 2 days later - this way I get to enjoy my clean/tidy/organised habitat for longer. The sewing has definitely suffered though :(
  • MrsMp I so wish you lived by me, would love to find a duckie. Lovely idea.

wow manic evening as dd had ballet but hopefully in half an hr peace will desend. I'm feeding baby to sleep atm, I love it, its my bit of me time while dh baths ds1 and dd.

also agree with comment about "few bad nhs workers" I am a nhs supporter and agree most are fantastic though when you do see that one grumpy one it can really knock you.good luck lamewolf, I'm sure your confidence will be restored and definitely take mr lamewolf with you for support.

flying all done today. am seeing a friend tonight, dont really have the energy and would rather be knitting in front of eastenders but will be fine when I get there.

hope you are all well and good

    I've been Money Tipped!
Hi everyone, have caught up (just) - lamewolf hope your appointment goes well. Some lovely advice there from ionafan :heart2: Well done as well gilly1964, vintagelady, mamaninie, englishrose89 and all of you who seem to have done LOADS! I'm feeling a bit inadequate! :o

Went to town today, got a present, wrapped and posted it; bought some christmas bits, and boots for DD and myself. Made dinner, but other than that flying has been VERY limited. Am going to attempt to get something at least done this evening. I'm feeling stressed about work (always happens when I have a lot of marking) which I think stops me being very productive - not because I'm marking (I can't while I'm looking after the DCs) but because I'm worrying and feeling like there's something hanging over me. I'm just going to accept I can't mark this evening (too tired, and DH is out so I'll be dealing with any littlies out of bed) and get some CLEANING done instead - I know I'll feel better for it. Since I got not much flying done yesterday either, I'll aim for bits off both lists:

    Marvellous Monday - Kitchen
[STRIKE]What better way to start the week than to Eat that frog[/STRIKE] - listed item on ebay
    Hoover and mop the floors
Wipe the work surfaces, remove at least 5 items which don't belong here or can be put away
    Clean out your cutlery drawer
Wipe over the hob, clean all the dials, take them off and clean underneath
    Sort out your purse
    Empty all the bins

Tremendous Tuesday - Living Room and Hallway
Clear and wipe coffee table and mantle don't pile it all back put it away!
    Hoover floors
    Hoover/wipe sofas
Sort out a cupboard/drawer/display cupboard - do you need all that stuff tucked away at the back?
Sweep leaves from your doorstep and give the door a wipe inside and out if you can
[STRIKE]Do something that makes you happy[/STRIKE] bought new boots today :):)
Update your calendar/diary and synch/compare with family members as required
Wash any throws or cushion covers which need it

    My list:
Get DCs out of bath and into bed
    Stash christmas bits
    Make bank transfers

It's Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners at 8pm, and that always makes me want to clean, so hoping for a productive evening!
