    Living room and hall Done!:D

Feeling very tired first thing, so lazed around, then had sudden surge of energy after coffee. Living room done far more thoroughly than usual, including cleaning the windows and all the sills. Bookshelves dusted.

There are still hotspots of stuff piled onto coffee table and fireplace, but they all belong to DS1. He's got a lot of work on today, so will remind him when less stressed to rehome them. There are also three bags of stuff (that was removed from kitchen when I redecorated) still lurking behind the sofa. I want to go through them, but the evening will do for that.

Lovely sunshine here, although not warm. I will reward myself with an hour or so pottering in the garden after lunch.

    Best wishes to everyone!

    Afternoon everyone

    Ionafan
    - Thanks for explaining about the C* card thing and secret Santa. I'll get onto that as they both sound lovely.

Think I need to be a bit more 'decadent' in the future as I feel so much better for it :rotfl:

JTTOU - Glad you feeling a bit more positive today and good luck with the rest of your weight loss.

Mrs MP - Thanks for explanation about the 'release 5 ducks in November'. What a lovely idea - you do so much for others I feel ashamed.

If it's gone I've done it or don't have one

Wow - we have sunshine today! I'm glad I set up the WM last night; loads of Mr LW's clothes now out on the whirligig.:o

Msgnomey GWS wishes - real bummer coming back from abroad and straight away going down with a bug!

Katiecat strength vibes to get through the next couple of weeks; I know how difficult it is living in the same house when you're no longer a couple.

LW - try to keep positive about Thursday as I am hoping they have some good news for you.
Thank you. All I want is for them a) to tell me what's actually gone wrong and b) tell me how I fix it.:o The problems I have are a) the consultant is a man, and I don't do well dealing with men and b) the NHS consultant told me a couple of years ago that I had to "just go away and live with it" (her exact words) before discharging me back to just the care of the GP. It still smarts!:( c) I'm terrified of anyone who has any form of power over me, and that includes medical personnel. Not to worry, it'll soon be Thursday.;)
Morning - especially for LW - think the rope ladder is working, thanks!
    Excellent news.:T

The NHS is a caring profession - most people are quite good at their job, some are absolutely wonderful, but unfortunately a few are not, and you were really unlucky to get one of them last time. Can you prime Mr LW to step in if the male consultant appears to be frightening you? e.g. "Would you mind awfully explaining that again please, because *I* really don't understand why my wife has to put up with constant pain", and then perhaps the consultant will think more carefully about what he is saying. And LW - absolutely nobody has any power over you from which Mr LW's love for you will not be able to shield you. I hope that everyone you see in the course of your treatment gives you the respect and care that you deserve for soldiering on for so long under such difficult circumstances.

That was most of the apartment dusted. Just need to get the duster-on-a-stick out to do tops when i am ready to hoover :) Thanks for the company Ionafan - did you get done ok ?

Have decluttered my lunch, a little late but still enjoyable. Had kippers and b&b today and they whizzed round in the micro whilst I dusted.

Is there no limit to the amount of multi-tasking this woman is doing today ? :rotfl:

Off to get ready for work and then slurp a quick cuppa.

    Hi Everyone

I hope I can join. I really need this thread to help me get organised with housework. Since I had heart surgery last year, I just don't seem to have the energy/motivation to do it. I wasn't able to do anything yesterday, so I have done a bit of both today, after I got home from work.
