Is there a minimum starting pot so to speak? Also is there a minimum amount you have to invest/bid in each of the portfolio items?MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

The minimum investment is £100 and min of £20 per loan. I personally stick to £20 per loan as it spreads the risk.0

I was going to say LIL you're best off asking OCC because she is where I've sourced all my information so far.
Update for this week £50 more off the CC. More into the EF bringing it to £836. With going on holiday and doing it again this weekend out overtime has decreased slowing down our savings. I will look forward to getting back to work and back to reality.
We have finished decorating our third bedroom! Like I said one left (the master bedroom), living/dinning room, halway, stairs and kitchen and then decorating will be complete with the exception of carpeting and the extension which I no longer want to talk about!

I feel your decorating pain. In last 5-6 months I've done 3 bedrooms, 2 en suite, 1 bathroom and 1 cloakroom. I'm half way through the kitchen and can't wait till tomorrow night for if to be finished. That leaves 1 small bedroom and the living room!!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

LIL we put as much as we can each week. Although we do sort of have a plan. I get paid monthly and put all my wages into bill account and leftover money goes to savings. DH gets paid weekly and we use his money to buy food, fuel and spending money and the rest goes to savings/debt payment. We aim for about £300 a week to go to savings/debt repayment.
We are now taking it a gear though.... We are PREGNANT! It's very early days and we haven't told anyone. I decided to let the MSE community know so I don't burst!
I plan to save like a mad woman now so I will change my signature. The savings will be spent on:
-extension (the money is already there for that)
-plastering
-painting the soon to be plastered rooms
-money to stretch Mat leave for as long as we can afford.
Wish us luck!Mortgage [STRIKE]£269,000[/STRIKE] £258,987 / MF date [STRIKE]June'49[/STRIKE] June'49
