Fire girl, sadly we won't be mortgage free until March 2033, hopefully sooner! We will be debt free in December this year though. I think it will probably be a date night to mark that momentous occasion:beer:
Luckyinlife there's 17 years and 7 months left on our mortgage so I will be 46 years and 9 months old:p however of we move next year it may be later.
Diamondsonly we OP £400 a month and the rest of the £950 is our regular rot gage payment.
My 3 month trial part time contract came through today. I started it this week and I must say it is feeling good so far.
Hope everyone is well. CTMortgage [STRIKE]£269,000[/STRIKE] £258,987 / MF date [STRIKE]June'49[/STRIKE] June'49

Productive day today. Saw in laws (try to get over min. once a week), looked after a friends little one for a couple of hours, caught up with washing but most importantly sorted all the kitchen cupboards (organised, de cluttered and cleaned). I have been threatening to do it for months. Although now I've moved everything, I'm not sure I will remember where it's all gone.
DH's payday tomorrow so more money updates tomorrow.

Hello! I'm de cluttering too. Something is in the air.0

I think the bad weather played a part OCC. It was very wet here so I was forced indoors.
DH forgot his phone today so he has not transferred pay. Just waiting on his return later. I'm off to have my nails done shortly as a treat before holiday on Sunday. It's a friend who does it who works from home so very cheap. It's less for me to have hands and toes done than it is for my mother in law to get her toes done.
The extension is growing very boring? This drain situation is costing a fortune. We are now having to pay a builder to do all the work because DH can no longer guarantee he can dig out foots working that dangerously close to the drain. The builder cannot fit us in for a few more months but has said he will have it finished before Christmas! I would be tempted to go with someone else but he is recommended, is great with keeping up communication and has waited for us with all this water board stuff.
We have decided to get my friend back out after our holiday to quote for all the remaining indoor plastering so we are moving forward with something. We only have this evenings worth of painting left and our third bedroom will be complete! That will be two bedrooms down and one bedroom, living room/dining room, stairs and hall way left to go!

Hi LIL, we have a good size three bed house but a tiny student style bathroom. So small there is only a mini hand basen in there, shower cube and toilet. When you sit on the loo your elbows touch the shower and when you was your hands you touch the other side of the shower. We managed to knock lots off when we bought it because it was on the market for ages (we think bathroom related) so we think extending will improve the saleability. Plus I miss baths so so much!
I've managed to avoid painting DH is 6ft5 so gets it done quickly without a ladder or chair so when I've tried to help he tells me to leave him to it (I don't complain!) I'm in charge of holiday ironing tonight while he does painting.

Ah right i see where your coming from and can imagine what you mean personally i never have baths anymore because a normal size bath isnt deep enough for me and i just cant justify making my financial situation lighter to spend 1.5-2k on the bathroom just to have a bath haha
maby that can be my mortgage free treat lol
can you tell me more about the funding circle ?Mortgage--- [STRIKE]£67700 March 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£65221 April 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£64983 July 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£64780 sept 15[/STRIKE] Remortgage [STRIKE]£67295 oct 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£66599 Nov 15[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£65878.73 Dec 15[/STRIKE][STRIKE] £64834 1st Jan 16[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Feb 16 £64,511.89[/STRIKE][STRIKE] March 16 £64,056.40[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]April 16 £62550[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]May 16 £62,396.20[/STRIKE] Feb 17 £60.800

all this talk of extensions has resurrected my plans for an extension. want a 2 story extension so that we can improve on our small kitchen.
my parents did a sign and roll of the eyes when I said that we were going to have an extension exclaiming do you really need the extra space. No is the answer but like you said we need to get a larger kitchen to fit into the style of the house and add saleability should we ever want to move or have the desire to swing a cat in our kitchen. we could convert dining room into kitchen and move table into our lounge but I love having a roomy lounge personally. Plus secretly id like an en-suite in our bedroom too!
Great FC returns, im just reinvesting too and its snowballing nicely. want to invest another £100, may try and fit that in at payday. Want to do so much though!0 -
Funding Circle, i think this needs to be my next adventure...MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0
