I have had a good day lunch to work from home, got hubby to steam through, My MIL picked my son up from school so we didn't have to use the walking bus and a NSD as money was already in a pot for a lift to football club and back, heating is sadly on for an hour now brrrrrr even had the gritters out here.
I am thankful for my eldest taking my youngest to a fireworks display tomorrow hubby is in work and I daren't leave our dog alone tomorrow she will be a wreck bless her with all the crazy fireworks around here.
So win win x

Hello everyone! Hope we're all well - I've been enjoying the sudden change to winter weather and saw the most beautiful sunrise yesterday!
ilovetea - you are more than welcome. I don't have any debt anymore either, but like a lot of us on this thread, I'm trying to keep it that way and make sure I acquire some savings, so please do join us!
mothernerd - great house progress, fingers crossed for a quick sale for you.
dottydaisy - I know it can seem scary, but honestly I'd recommend filling in a Statement of Affairs (often abbreviated to SOA) and posting on debt free wannabe. People are very helpful and supportive and it's so useful to see where everything is going each month, and to get some ideas about how to reduce your costs and do extra to pay it off. You're very welcome on this thread - hope it helps!
fmess - I used to teach (and tutor and exam mark) and what I loved about it was having the chance to feel like you actually spent enough time with a child for once, rather than having 30 to worry about! Hope you've recovered now
SFD number 3 for me yesterday, today hopefully will be number 4 as will need to do a top up shop tomorrow I think. No thursday night uni this week, so want to crack on with my essay tonight.

Hi All, sorry I have been AWOL for a few days.
My budget for the month is as follows:
Food - £150
Petrol for me - £80
Petrol for OH - £170
I have my sisters 40th this week but gifts were bought in the summer so I only need to buy a card.
I am due to pay my House insurance and Line rental saver this month. I need to spend some time shopping around the comparison sites for house insurance and look into various line rental optiopns.
I am hoping for at least 10 NSDs and at least 20 days doing exercise/being active. My exercise is mainly going outside and enjoying the fresh air by having a walk but I also need to get out into the garden too.
This weekend I am planning a long-ish walk on both days with some time spent in the garden clearing out leaves etc. Here's hoping it stays dry.
Stewby the tartan ballet pumps are gorgeous. I see the shop you get them from is in Ballater. I love visiting Ballater at all times of the year. It is one of my favourite places for a holiday.0 -
Good morning,
glorious but cold sunshine up here. Today will be SFD number two. Will go and watch the fireworks somewhere from the car where we can see both displays in the city. Plus DS doesn't like the noise and it will be cosierNot much else to report.

I live about 40 miles from ballater and love visiting (mainly for the sweetie shop).
Today was going to be a spend-free day (I woke up all positive as it is also the day my diet restarts)... however OH has text, he needs shopping, bread and deodorant.
It is freezing cold today and it seems like a duvet day. Very tempted but will see how it goes.
Taking my parents dog out this afternoon so she doesn't get scared going out at night (due to fireworks).
Congratulations on getting your house ready and putting it on for sale mothernerd.
Welcome dottydaisy!!
As other people have said, we are all friends here and are here to support each other. Take your time and when you are ready, just let us know. Congratulations on realising that you are in debt. I know it feels horrible just now, but it's a great feeling to know that you are actually doing something about it.
Hugs.
Keep rowing turtleys.

Got DS sorted for christmas now too. He wanted a bin lorry, but the all singing and dancing ones (i.e. with parts that move and bins) were like 30-40 quid . Saw one for £13 at Tescimo direct and used doubled up vouchers to pay for it :TDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250

Samiszel - Please get a piece of bamboo to keep by the front door, and when you open the door in your panda wear, pretend to be chewing the end of it really casually! hahaha!
Had me howling with laughter. I have a Kermit Onesie its real Disney one with collar, hood ears and have had to run after my recycling bins with it, my neighbours were hysterical.
Stewby Tartan pumps gorgeous. I love Scotland what I have seen of it, Dunfermline, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Lilt Thanks for not making me feel so guilty about buying clothes, that Kat however has trained us well.
Going for a SFD today, too cold to venture out of office will work through the fruit mountain on my desk, Ate toast earlier gave in the effects of early morning dog walking just eat more.

DS is 3.5 yo and this one is aimed at kids 3-5. Got good reviews too. It's the green tescimo one. They also got a slightly fancier one for £20 but you can't double up vouchers for it.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
