:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: apple I think the vinegar would go very well with the mayonnaise that I just threw out. I used it on my wrap, ate said wrap, then casually checked the jar and discovered it went out of date in MAY
I will try the recipe, I am not sure what my Olive Oil is. EVOO is doubtful the last few months of scrimpingin a house where both 'children' have a taste for value beans and mechanically recovered 'chicken & pork' hotdogs, I don't waste the good stuff. :rotfl:
No juice, weights, bouncing children or anything near the laptablettop
Stewby they are wonderful!! And the digression is welcome too

Hi All,
Not off to a very good start for November
Made a couple of errors in my budgets:
1) Budget for the animals should have read £50 NOT £30
2) Social / Outings is a little low. I have decided to up it to £150 as I don't want to feel uncomfortable because I' concerned about the budget
As usual the start of the month is filled with spend days as I stock up on most things for the month at various locations and still cannot get OH to spend a whole day trawling around lots of differnt locations. As I don't drive I do need him to come with me. He is getting better though :rotfl:
No SFD's yet but hoping that tomorrow will be my first.
We will be starting to spend on the property refub in the next few days but this is all budgeted for and coming out of a separate fund so not counting in either my budgets or SFD's.
Really looking forward to this. I have lots of lovely spreadsheets. A detailed budget with a 10% contingency on everything and a schedule of works to work to. Hoping to come in under budget with lots of careful shopping and some hard haggling :rotfl:.

ilovetea - everyone is welcome no matter how big or small your debt, or if you are debt free and saving
samiszel - I'm impressed that you do not having the heating on. Can I ask how you dry your clothes? If mine don't go on/near a radiator, they dry so slowly that they smell horrible
Lilt - snap with the trainers, however mine are plain white and look like standard issue for some kind of institution. I have little feet so they are children's shoes and therefore avoid VAT
sazzle - well done on getting that money back, what a lovely feeling!
stewby - so excited for all your tartan products, and a tartan wedding dress?
Today has been a spend day as needed milk as I've been having porridge for breakfast (yummy!). Took lunch to work and then went to the canteen - naughty fmess! This is my worst habit and I'm sure it costs me a small fortune.
However, I have also been tutoring and have another session booked in tomorrow evening. It is tiring doing the extra work in the evening, especially when I have all my marking and planning to do in an evening too, but it is worth it for the money, and it does further build knowledge as I try to do tonnes of research and prep for tutoring.
Not much else to report, really tired so I might go for an early night

Fmess- I hang the washing on an airer and ensure a window is open. Dries within a couple of days with no smell. Just hung up a load now, in fact. I do try to do only one wash a week, though- wouldn't like to have any more damp clothes hanging up than that.
applemuncher- must try your mayo recipe. YummyLetting Go NST #17

Re washing. We've had the heating on for while now, only at 18, 20 max. I do about 5-7 loads a week, wouldn't dry otherwise. The weather is just to unpredictable up here and even in the conservatory it tends to get a bit wiffy.
Said I wouldn't buy any Christmas bits this month but did. Still a SFD though as i used doubled up Tesco vouchers. Got kilner like jars, wooden spoons and kids aprons to make cookies in a jar for three friends' kids and some plain mugs for DD and DS to decorate for the grandparents. Also gonna make a cast of DD hand and foot for my parents. Still have stuff left from when I did DS three years ago. Adult friends will get home made limoncello again (still got bottles, just need cheap vodka, OH wants to use the expensive stuff so need to smuggle the cheap stuff in when he's not looking) and HM cookies. That's a few people sorted inexpensively.

Haha... noooooooooooo fmess. The wedding dress will be ivory coloured. It's the lacing for the corset detail at the back that is tartan. I know I am proud to be Scottish but not that proud.
:rotfl:
So, is mayonnaise one of those things that actually goes off then?? I know salad cream goes wrong when it expires (learning experience). It's interesting to know what stuff you can keep (if you know what I mean).Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

Evening all,
Gonna call it NSD 2 today. Technically I did buy bread and milk but I used some change I found inside the lining of an old handbag so the bank balance remains untouched
Running out of stuff for sandwiches to take to work, had to have marmalade sandwiches for lunch today. It'll be on to jam sandwiches after that until I crack and buy some cheese - expensive but at least with salad as well it'll provide some nutrients!Starting 2016 debt-free

Whilst in the shop, I noticed they had tartan shoes. The guy then told me that they handmake them and you can choose the tartan!!!!!!!
This means that I am going to change my choice of footwear for the wedding (bye bye trainers) and welcome in some lovely ballet pumps that match my dress.
The guy behind the counter also said that they use up the fabric to make extras for me... so, if there is enough material, I am going to get the shoes, two clutch bags and two hair scrunchies.
So am feeling fantastically amazing today!!!!!!
stewby - What a find- Sounds amazing! The other week I bought a great panda outfit (jumper and bottoms) from Primarni and it is so warm and cosy. Looking forward to the day someone random knocks on my door and the look on their face when they see me in it!
Samiszel - Please get a piece of bamboo to keep by the front door, and when you open the door in your panda wear, pretend to be chewing the end of it really casually! hahaha!
Hi guys and dolls,
Hope you are all warm and dry on another chilly evening! I have had a bit of a frustrating day at work, so have had another night in and watched some tv (I rarely do this) with my ma, which was a nice distraction!
1st SFD- Acquired today- hooray!! I have got a fireworks evening tomorrow, I have already pre-purchased the ticket so no money to find for that. Not sure how I am travelling to said event, hopefully me and OH can car share with his friend's, although may need to contribute to cost of parking as the event is being held in our local town and free parking is a rarity! We shall see!
Still feel a little like I have the Monday blues, have got a hectic day ahead of me tomorrow, so I do hope that it flies by!
Have just been having a read of NSK's blog, exciting times are afoot for our Ninja founder! I forget how encouraging and inspiring Kat's writing style is, need to start taking note especially around being a bit more focused and removing negativity!
Tallyho for now one and all and a goodnight! x:coffee:

Well I had better introduce myself. Retired, two adult daughters living at home, third married and one grandson 9months old. Got into debt by a} lending money then not paying back to account borrowed from,
thereby in effect spending twice
b} thinking of selling house move to my own small place, - use equity to pay everything off, but stymied now daughters moved back in
c}being too complacent and not looking at the bigger picture, just the small balances on various credit cards/loan, not realising the total.
I've been playing at getting it under control ever since NJK's first challenge, but not succeeding very well. Now is the time to take action. I have started by:-
1. Having a fuel budget of £90 per month, taking daughter to work each day, bus service not reliable, and visit grandson every 4-6 weeks 220 mile round trip
2.Putting £30 each month into car fund
3.£400 food and household budget per month for 3 + dog. Have to let them get used to having less gradually, don't want them to know extent of debt. Will gradually reduce, anything left over to go to c/c
4. Pay off £500 each month off loan and credit cards.
5. Not buying anything I do not need
6 Cut back on Christmas presents.
So I hope you don't mind my joining you all so I can keep on the straight and narrow with support from you guys. It may take a while before I admit the total of debt, but at least I have to myself
Will commit to 30 minutes dog walk each day for exercise
Will look at rest of challenge tomorrow
NSD today
