NST November: battening down the hatches!

If you put the money away beforehand on a 'spendy' day then you can count it Aloof. If you had to get the cash out as you hadn't arranged your money ahead of time, I think it is a spend day Aloof. HTH

NSD number 3 for me today. Car is showing red petrol light, but I hope it manages to the petrol station in the morning!! Didn't want to lose a NSD just for fuel.
Still haven't put the heating on. DH doesn't feel the cold so much and is generally away most of the week anyway, so it's down to me whether I put it on. It's been such a mild autumn so far and my thermostat is still reading 17 degrees. The other week I bought a great panda outfit (jumper and bottoms) from Primarni and it is so warm and cosy. Looking forward to the day someone random knocks on my door and the look on their face when they see me in it! :rotfl:
November is looking to be an unusually quiet month for me. Just one outing planned to London this Sat evening, a work function next Fri and a birthday party on the Sat. Will try and fit in a few walks in the country maybe... if the weather down here ever improves!! :mad:Letting Go NST #17

ilovetea - I have no debts either, just the mortgage. But everyone is very welcome here!
Am doing a silent happy dance as I reach 3 NSDs! Tomorrow breaks the run, as it's food shopping day :j.
Well done samiszel on no heating yet. Is your house super well insulated and draught free? I pinned the 'spare' fleece onto the back of one of the downstairs floor-to-ceiling curtains (must've looked well funny to anyone who could see my antics, being wrapped up in a long curtain trying to hold fleece to fabric and get another safety pin pinned in!), but I acknowledge that fleece on BOTH curtains will be needed to stop the draughts.
For those of you hankering after a fitbit: yes, they aren't cheap. Maybe ask for money towards one for Christmas? I don't kmow if they can be acquired through a cashback site? Or if anyone has any offers on them. Post-Christmas may see some discounts. Dh always says NOT to buy tech and gadgets in Nov or Dec as the companies hoick the prices back up.
I think my personal challenge this month will be to do Primal for 21 days. I'm currently on day 4.
moohound - I have no qualms about going into a coffee shop (especially a big chain one) to use the loo and NOT buy a drink!
Lilt - I agree with you totally about the clothes! I resent the 'new' prices sooooo much!
sazzle - go you on getting money back!
stewby - the tartan sounds amaaaaazing. No wonder you are so excited by it!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Still here. Tired and hungry - waiting for takeaway and overdue for tablets. Tried bringing more boxes down from the attic but am approaching stomach growling. I have probably moved more things than DS3. However DS1 is now here so should go faster.
Spendy day - van hire, diesel and takeaway. Just want everything to be moved across then can take my time sorting through it.
After several attempts reached the occupational therapists and have organised the equipment I need.
Food arrived - see you soonMy mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Stewby tartan to match your dress?! I have to see this! Sounds amazing, and what a great place to find. My friend had bagpipes up the aisle and to play around the party as we ate. A little disconcerting but lovely!
Apple those trainers... They had the cheek to ask people to pay £55.99 RRP. Seriously. They almost had to pay me to take them. Pahaha.
ilovetea no debt here either. I am here to keep it that way!!
Disaster is striking in the Lilt house tonight. One of the hinges on my laptop has been broken and hanging on with a probably essential wire for about 12 months now. Tonight the other one has gone. So I have to sit just so with the laptop keyboard at a sharp angle in front of me and the screen leaning on my knees in order to type to you all. Must hang on until January for my Macbook.
SFD #3 today and 3 days at work stuffing myself with bread and homemade scotch broth should see me through to the weekend. Mayonnaise is in my little book of remembering for the next time I spend!!
Night all. Was up way too late last night but Jellytot gave me a lie in til 8:30 which would have been amazing if it didn't leave me twenty minutes to pack a lunch, shower both of us and get us ready for nursery, then out of the door at 10 to 9  still need to be good tonight for it is a school night. x

Lilty - homemade mayo:
Whisk 1 egg yolk till frothy. Add 1/2 teaspoon mustard (or more, or less!) and pimch of salt. Then keep whisking as you add 1/2 cup of MILD olive oil. (evoo = too strong a taste - I know!).
Or I can put my half-used jar over the border in a tub of vinegar...!
Yah boo to your computer. I do hope it hangs on....literally! Don't let Jelly or HIM near it with any juice or weights.....NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Now.... please don't be disgusted with me. I know they are expensive but it was either these or buying trainers from america.

Erm... I have removed all the other stuff I wrote and stuck it on my diary as I didn't want to blurt out everything, it became a bit "too much information". But, those are my shoes.
Because my feet suck, I am going to get straps on the top of them to hold the shoes on my feet which the guy said he was more than happy to make for me.
Sorry for the digression. A bit too excited today.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

Today I am grateful for fleecy throws and safety pins, for technology, for good chats at work, for blue skies this morning, for my dd and dh!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
