NSD 2 under my belt. Phew!

Still keeping primal - day 3/21 all done.

Now the weather's finally turned down here, I'm pleased I got the fleecey throws pinned up. Makes dd's and our rooms feel so snug, whether it's more psychological than real, I don't care :D.

Fmess - hope the hospital visit went well. Surely parking there counts as a 'medical' need??

mothernerd - glad you've got your date confirmed. And your house is on the market - wowzer! :T:T

vb - you are brave to venture into primarni. I loathe the place!!

Hello ilovetea - good to see you again. A wedding is a great motivation for weight loss - good luck!

Welcome to all NST newbies, and well done on all NSD acquisitions (sazzle - you'll get one one day soon...!)

NSD 2 for me :j Nothing more to report, really.

I looked into these 'Fitbits' I hear mentioned every so often- are these the ones which cost around £100? That's quite a lot of money... but maybe they're worth it? They monitor your sleeping and silently wake you up, as well as counting calories and steps taken. Or am I looking at totally the wrong thing??

    Ahoy gang

I'm in my very own armada having a much needed post work chillaxed soak in the turtle tub :D

Got back from my one night getaway yesterday evening and out of a £120 budget brought £63 home. Does this count as 2 SFDs even though I spent from my budget? If so, today is my 3rd :D

Going to catch up on posts properly that I skimmed earlier, then its early night for me..

That's pretty much it. They count your activity and how you're sleeping, and if you use the app in conjunction with the fitbit then you can count calories in it (though MyFitnessPal is better for calorie counting in my opinion).

They aren't really worth the £100 that they cost if I'm entirely honest, but I had to use airmiles up or I'd lose them and didn't have anywhere near enough for a flight, but had enough for a fitbit so figured it was better than the points disappearing with nothing to show :)

Thanks bobs_burgers. Can't imagine that I would buy one with cash for £100 (esp. as I obviously hadn't budgeted it into this month!). Maybe something to put on my wishlist, though... :)

:happyhear I LOOOOVE my fitbit! :happyhear

I did use the food inputter thingy when I started, but soon bored of being quite so anal! But I have kept a food journal (where I add in exercise, events...) for over 4 years, so maybe I'm still a tad anal...but it just seems 'normal' to me now! I like the fitbit for how it fits (ha ha) rather than having a bang thingy to wear on your wrist. Am rather attached to mine...

So, today I am grateful for my fitbit (!), for the 'not-her-again-giving-the-talk' meeting at least finishing bang on time, for the weather turning chilly, for managing wheelspins in my diesel car (was always told they were impossible, so I smirk like a naughty teenager whenever I do one :D), for a quiet evening as dh has gone out.

Congratulations on getting your house on the market mothernerd :)

I like the sound of these fitbits, I'm going to investigate!

Today I have been in an amazingly positive mood! Why I hear you ask? ;) Because when I pulled into the car park at the hospital (20 minutes early for my appointment) I noticed there was 30 minutes free parking. Unfortunately, I was right at the barrier so couldn't go wait somewhere for 10 minutes and then enter the car park. So I decided not to stress, went in to my appointment, got seen on time, only took 5 minutes, then dashed to the car, and I was within 30 minutes. :j :j :j :j SFD number 2 :)

Also took lunch to work and it was yummy leftover roast veg from last night. I walked all the dogs so that is an hours exercise :) and I've just finished prepping my lessons for tomorrow, so I'm off to bed asap :)

Hope you've all had a great day :):):):)

  • Well shiver me timbers, the weather has taken a turn! It is freeeeeeezing down here in Essex! Brrrrr! Hope that you are all keeping safe and warm!

Alas, another spend day for me today. I have purchased a voucher to make a large photobook for my OH of our holiday to H@waii from this summer (saving £30 on full price book). I am so pleased to have made a start on his Christmas present! We saved for so long for the holiday and it was truly amazing, so I think it will make a great nostalgic present! Seeing as I have lost the SFD I thought I would purchase the bits and pieces I have been meaning to get for a while and for some unknown reason have been putting off buying, these include: replacement windscreen and rear wiper blades for my car- the front one's are terrible and I want to be prepared for the winter weather! I have also purchased toothbrush head replacements online- much more cheaper than the s'markets!

I really have no excuse tomorrow for spending, as I have topped up on essentials such as food and fuel over the weekend.

Really not sure what my personal goal will be. I think I need to try and partake in some form of exercise or movement for myself. Not exercise because I feel I *have* to. I am on the go a lot at work and some days I am even more active than usual, this has left me feeling shattered most evenings and really in no mood for going for my bi-weekly jogs with my friend's (the weather also has not helped). So I think on the weekend's I need to find some me time, whether it's going for a long walk and geocaching (you all know how much I l love my geocaching!) or even finding somewhere to do either yoga or pilates, which would mean signing up to a class as I haven't the room at the moment to do this at home.

mothernerd- Super news about the op date confirmation and getting the house on the market! You amaze me with how much you juggle! What a great service having books delivered as well, I did not realise that libraries offered that!

I think I'm going to make a cuppa and try and get another early night in!

    :coffee:

Infact while the kettles on, I'm going to quickly swap my summer curtains in my bedroom over to my winter, lined curtains! (Another lil job I have been putting off- I think I am still trying to cling on to the last of summer!) Anyhew, n'night for now Turties! x
