This is going to sound so stupid but it has worked for me lot's of times.
Don't just stand outside calling , try whistling as well.
All my cats respond to a whistle as well as their name and if they are quite a way off they are more likely to hear it.
I really hope she comes home.

    *Fingers crossed*.
  • Thanks everyone.

Still no sign. I guess all I can do is keep checking.

I would do anything for her to reappear :(

Chin up I lost my cat ( now deceased 20 yrs old) when she went to my sisters lost her for 4 months she then turned up at the hairdressers cat protection league got in contact with me as I had registered her lost with them. Just had a cat move in over a year ago eventually found the owner who was happy that he stayed with me.My Other cat who was friends with the older dead cat loves this new one very much, weird never seen two mature cats non related love each other so much. Fingers crossed, retrace your dads way to the park may have followed then got lost.

I would also suggest contacted every local vet. It's often the first place people ring when they find a pet. Cats Protection are also very helpful.

Really hope the kitty turns up soon. I know what it's like worrying when they go missing.

Hope your cat turns up soon. You are doing every thing possible with leaflets, contacting vets etc. When one of ours went missing 2 years ago we used to go out late at night when it was quiet and call her whilst listening in case we heard her crying anywhere. She was missing for a week...she turned up at 9 pm limping on her back left leg and a little thinner....turned out she had a fractured pelvis! I think she got shut in somewhere and went bonkers trying to escape which caused her injury. The week she was missing was awful so I know how you must feel. Keep us informed.

Not yet. I've been rushing about getting the kids dinners and baths/bed etc.

OH is on his way home, he's been in Frankfurt for the last 2 days, and he'll know which microchip co*

    * just spoken to him on the phone and he thinks it's identichip? Will try and give them a call, I guess in the morning.

Will also call the local vet (although it isn't that local..it's about a 15 min drive away).

Re retracing FiL steps, the 'local' park again is about a 20 min drive so she wouldn't have followed him, plus she only goes out the back, b=never the front and has no access to the road from the back garden.

Just been out again, called louder this time and tried whistling etc. OH is going to have a look for her too when he gets back..you never know, a louder male voice may be better.

Thanks for all the suggestions and support. I do appreciate it.
