I found CEC comparison very misleading. If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0

A question for someone in the know if I may...
I am already with Eon, and have just had a warm home discount approval letter. It has not yet been applied to my account
If I switch to another Eon tariff via this deal, will I keep the discount?
Thanks in advance.0 -

I doubt it, people who run comparison sites are very good at talking their way out of awkward questions.grumpycrab wrote: »Or is this people whining that they cannot get a cheaper deal?
I haven't seen anyone mention not getting a cheaper deal, let alone whining about it.
I have seen people say that when they do the calculations themselves the savings are less than quoted on the CEC site.0 -

A question for those who have applied for switch to E.ON, how long does E.ON take to email that they have received your application or that it has been accepted and things are moving forward?

I see I can join the MSE scheme although I'm an existing Eon customer, but will my current credit with Eon (from low summer bills) of around £400 be transferred? Or will I be considered as a new customer and have to reclaim this back in the normal way? Anybody know?0

It will be an internal switch. The credit will move over.0

Energy tariffs are confusing enough without MSE making things worse. I entered all my details and - just to pick an example - the GreenStar Energy option comes up under all picks with two tariffs and one of them is paperless and cheaper than the "Top Picks" offering from the same company with the same tariff but not paperless. Why isn't the paperless version of this tariff, which IS the cheapest from this company, showing here, in the Top Picks listing? And when I went back and looked again I saw two identical (as far as I could tell) GreenStar Energy tariffs as well as the paperless one, and these two are only a few pounds different but no explanation as to why there is a difference.
I feel like opting for the paperless one, it is the cheapest, but it is not one of the winter switch Top Picks/winners. WHY NOT?0
