Hi Dan,
Someone asked this a page back and I would appreciate some clarification, too: When do people who have previously earned cashback via Cheap Energy Club become eligible for cashback again? Is it 12 months after instigating their last switch, 12 months after their supply start date, or 12 months after their last cashback payment?
Hopefully we will get an answer before the deadline for the winter switch passes
Fortunately for me the standard EON v12 tariff is cheapest, but would be a shame if others missed out through not knowing if they qualified for cashback.I came, I saw, I melted0 -
On the comparison on my logged in EClub calculator. I can't change the payment method to see different results . I'm on separate gas (quarterly Ebico) and lec (EDF)and the drop down menu for payment method can't be changed from month DD to any other when I select separate gas or lect. Why?0

Is there a basic guide that I can use to help me decide whether to switch or not please? I will save 10% with this switch (year 1 only obviously); I have 1.5years fix left with edf. I think its a no-brainer with prices (apparently) coming down.If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0

Unless EDF announce a new tariff in the next month or so that is cheaper than the 'best buy' collective one from e.on0

If you could drop us an email to collectiveswitch@energyclub.com we'll take a look into this for you.0 -
It says in Martin's email that we won't get charged early exit fees with british gas - is this only if I switch to another british gas tariff or am I ok to switch to EON without getting charged?
I'm already with the provider (eg, E.on). Can I use its deal in the collective switch? A. Yes, you can use the collective switch even if you're with the provider already and you'll get the cashback and any bonuses. Plus, with Eon & BG you won't pay early exit fees even if they're due. With Scot Power you usually won't (but may on a few legacy tariffs) and with Green Star you won't on one of its 12mth tariffs.0 -
I believe that means that if you do an internal switch i.e. you are already with the supplier and switch to another of their products then there will be no exit fee applied.0

Not cheaper for me - a combination of Zog for Gas and ExtraEnergy for electricity beats this deal hands down.
Only one person benefiting form CEC, his initials are ML.0 -
Bit harsh.
We don't expect Martin Lewis to tell us his tariff is the cheapest of the lot (when it isn't):
The club quote told me I could save over £200pa with e.on.However the unit rates of both are about the same or more than my current supplier, and the saving on the SC does not amount to £200+.Further the unit rates are are more for elec and slightly less for gas, than on the E.on site. Perhaps a more transparent comparison would be appropriate.0 -

Yes, I found CEC comparison very misleading. I think you need to work out your current tariffs Standing Charge + Usage to the new tariffs they recommend.
The CEC comparison suggested I would save almost £200 a year but doing the numbers myself it turns out to be only £50. Then I've got exit fees to deal with.0
