3 more weeks to gooooo 3 more weeks to tell them to stick it... have a nap flower!!
P.S Levi - that putty is awesome. My ex put a sledgehammer through a plasterboard wall and continued it through the toilet. We puttied it back together with plumbers putty that dries even when wet. It worked for a while but a slow internal leak (where we couldn't see or putty) eventually put the toilet through the floor  LOL

Hi Oct
Whenever i've needed to do blue-peter style repairs to my car I found an excellent product called miliput (amazon, about £5).. you mash two types of adhesive putty together and then use it to stick whatever it is you're sticking on.. hold it tight for a couple of mins and then it's ROCK SOLID.. for.. ever! i used it to repair aerial on my car about 3 years ago and it's still solid as a rock despite all weathers, car washes, everything. might be worth a try! they do all colours too so you can get whichever one stands out leasti used black. xx
Ohhh thanks Levi! I am definitely going to try that!! I am so sick of it breaking.

You're just so popular!! hehe
So glad things are looking up. I am so full now. I had a massive, very unhealthy lunch but it's V day and nothing says I love me better than treating yourself to lunch.. :rotfl:
I think Levi needs to bring some of that lovely jelly over here. I still have my glassfull left. Raspberry jelly is lush.
I am going to get a meal deal for tonight for me and OH. They are doing a fancy one for £10 but I am getting the everyday one for £6.50.

Nom to your lunch. I feel very virtuous. My choices were as wide as the supermarket aisles and every open takwaway in the vicinity.. I chose a 90p pack of mushrooms and made mushroom omelette and salad. Was fabbydabbydoo. They are normally banned as they are the devils work according to Him and I can't eat a punnet to myself. But it was V day...
I also got a bunch of daffs & a little card telling me I am special
the right kind, not my usual brand of special
Hope you enjoy your time with DM and OH loves your old room!!xx

Hellllllllllooooooooooo
I am sorry I have been MIA this week. It has been crazy busy over the weekend and then had a lovely lovely lovely time with my OH and DM. My DM and DA went out of their way to make my OH feel welcome. DM made us home made pancakes on pancake day and she made us breakfast every morning and was just so lovely.
There were a couple of upsets. My DA offended my OH because when we were talking about the pressures of finding a new job, she said when all was said and done I could move into my house. OH took that as she expected him to either drop everything and move with me or have a long distance relationship that neither of us want. Either way he took it as he wasn't important enough to consider. Then DM upset me by still mentioning that I should be up north instead of down south. I thought this one time she would lay off but no. They both seem blind to my wants and needs and care only about my DM's wants. I am used to it though and ignore it mostly. OH was put out though.
We had a little disagreement last night as he doesn't appreciate how much my family bent over backwards to make him feel welcome and commented that he'd had to "put up with my family for the last few days". My family, regardless of their (many) faults, are still my family and very important to me. I know that he has never had a decent family life so doesn't understand that but out of respect for me he could at least be a little more understanding.
I don't know. It's not easy blending OHs with families. Especially my family! LOL
So finance wise... Well we spent a little but my DM was paying for a lot of things as she knows I will be out of work in two weeks. I had one NSD which was good. Going to do a full shop today but DM gave me a lot of groceries which is appreciated. Mr A is selling washing liquid for £4.98 which is actually a brand we are using and it is lasting us well. OH said we should get two and they are also doing softener cheaper but DM has given me a load so I don't think I need it.
Need to get lunches sorted out for this week and a meal plan in place. I was very lazy with it this month so far. I want to get some veggies as well and something to go with some salmon fillets I have in the freezer.
Well must dash, going to catch up on everyone's diaries.
Have a fab day!

Hello Everyone
I have been on the forums daily but haven't posted on my diary. I spent some time on the Family forum reading the thread for women trying to get pregnant. I guess having following my Bestie's journey, I felt a connection. It is a lovely thread and the girls there so positive even though some are going through difficult journeys.
I have been making lunches again, trying to make some changes as our lunches do get a tad boring. I am also trying to be a bit healthier. I prepared salads for lunch the past two days but I need to start getting some dressing. I want to make my own. I have been using the ideas from the Domesticc Geeeek. She has her own website and a channel on Utube. I love her ideas and she has inspired me a lot.
Money is difficult. I will have an updated signature soon as my loan payment went out. I don't think I have done well at sticking to my budgets this week. I am really considering in investing in YNAB as it might be easier for me. I don't know. I am not very good at tracking anything. I did manage to keep my shopping to £35 a week so I am pleased with that. Unfortunately there was too much eating out this month and with V day and my Bestie's Bday, I ended up spending out on things that I hadn't thought about. I know a lot needs fixing with my car and that is going to be costly. I would like a new one but until I get a new job, I can't really do anything.
On the job front, I applied for 5 jobs the day before yesterday. I am trying to do some hunting every other day. I write the best cover letters I can and I am pretty confident in my CV. I need to go to some recruitment agencies and get myself signed up but I am going to do that when I am finished with work. I am having a little problem with my laptop not working. OH is going to look at it... eventually :rotfl:.
Talking of OH, he has just bought himself a DeeS game thingy for £80 on E of Bay. He is getting a bonus from work so decided he wanted one. I am a little jealous, I have wanted one since I was little. I figure I can steal his when he isn't using it though :rotfl:. I have been watching E of Bay for a Maccbook. After reading Lilty's diary it has made me think it might be a better option. I don't have the money for a new one though. There is one that is currently sitting at £30 so I am watching it. It will likely go up into the £100s long before the end of the auction but you never know. OH said if I can get a laptop for £60 he will pay for it. Just have to keep looking.
I emailed a couple of agencies this afternoon for property viewings. I know that I can't afford to move right now but I think it would do OH and I good to see a few options. I figure that if we look now, we will have a good idea of what we want when we can actually move.
Well I think that is enough rambling for one entry. Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.

Good to hear an update from you October
I'm sure you have been a good support to the other group with some positive and uplifting words for them especially after what you have recently been through with your bestieThat's if you have been posting but if not I hope that even reading has helped - maybe your friend would benefit from joining up there and sharing her experiences?
I'm sure you will find a job soon - you're working really hard at the applications and "if you throw enough balls at enough coconuts, you eventually win a fish!" (that is a saying my grandad used to say, back in the days they used to give a goldfish as a prize at a fair)
Keep going! You're awesomeLevi...xxxxx

Thanks Levi!
How were the ducks? I am so jealous. I have not been to feed the ducks for years and it is something I used to do a lot with my DM when I was little. Such fond memories. We even took my niece when she was little. I remember having to lift her up and have my ankles pecked by some overbearing geese! LOL :rotfl:
